11.01.2022 A Canberra cancer patient has become the first person in the Australian Capital Territory to be treated with advanced radiation therapy at Icon Cancer Centre - Australia Canberra using Varian Medical Systems HyperArc, a new cutting-edge hyper-targeted radiation therapy treatment for multiple brain tumours.

11.01.2022 Brisbane patients will soon have access to the latest in personalised cancer diagnoses with the launch of a validation study of GenomiQa’s whole genome analysis... platform. In partnership with Icon Group, the Australian-first pilot study will be conducted in collaboration with Icon Cancer Centre Wesley part of the global Icon Group and will involve genomic testing of up to 15 patients. Based on GenomiQa's analysis of the patients’ genomes, each patient may be matched to the most suitable treatment option for their cancer, including approved drugs and those available through clinical trials. GenomiQa is a spin-off company from QIMR Berghofer, focused on bringing precision whole genome analytics into routine clinical practice. 09.01.2022 Today Icon Cancer Centre - Singapore alongside Mount Alvernia Hospital held a ground-breaking ceremony for the new state-of-the-art integrated cancer centre that will offer all aspects of cancer care. The centre will also be the home of Varian Medical Systems training hub servicing the South East Asia region.
