He is correct in saying that the authenticity of followers you have is VITAL, however, Facebook advertising can be focussed to avoid getting fake followers. It is important to engage only followers who actually want to hear your message, your voice... and your ideas. The goal is to entertain your audience with informative, educational and entertaining information that they want to watch, read and share. Facebook is not a sales pitch, it is an engagement tool and the opportunity for you to talk with your customers away from a day-to-day transaction.
