15.01.2022 There are so many beautiful places around the world to see, visit, experience. Make sure Whitehaven Beach is on that bucket list. The perfection of the white silcon sand, the clear waters of the coral sea ocean and the amazing Whitsunday weather! This stunning couple travelled from the other side of the world to elope at what they consider to be one of the most beautiful places in the world (I'm with them). Worth mentioning right now that our wet season has certainly brought humidity but the skies have been mostly clear and the colours of the ocean at the moment are breath taking. Saw a dugong swimming by Coral Sea Resort last week! First one I've seen in sometime. Cute - (meaning ugly but interesting!) Nature is really putting it on for us. Have a great weekend!

13.01.2022 BEHIND THE SCENES OF AWARD WINNING PHOTOGRAPHY "The craft (photography) is expected to be good, so today, it is the art that seperates one photographer from another" Peter Eastway The art of post production is just as important as the photo being taken and many hours go into post producing a photo to award winning standard. Of course we cannot devote this much time to each of a couples hundreds of wedding photos (though we'd love too) but having said that, if you have an image or two that you would like this kind of devotion allocated too, that can be arranged (-; Norina recieved a silver distinction at the APPAs (National Awards) for her foresight, capture and post production skills which were applied to this unique photo of an adorable flower girl. That ones for the wall!

07.01.2022 We were asked to shoot a cake fight for a whitsunday cake supplier Sweet Ideas (Mel is an absolute profectionist and a leader in her field if you're looking for a wedding cake), when we agreed we had NO IDEA what we were install for! As the first cake came hurling toward me the room went silent - how would I respond with camera in hand? Sometimes when life throws you a curve ball, laughter is the best medicine. Gear now thoroughly washed!!

06.01.2022 One of our most requested images is a night image taken in the romantic candle light by the ornate elephant doors at Villa Botanica. We thought you might like to see the original image that caught the attention of so many brides to be. This image was taken back in 2009 and the gorgeous lady featured is none other then Ralph & Janets (owners of Villa Botanica) daughter Hayley, in Villas early days as a wedding venue.

06.01.2022 Can you imagine...... it's your wedding day and you're on the way to walk the silcon sand aisle to marry the man you are to spend the rest of your life with, the butterflies in your stomach, the nervous tension, then you look out the window of your sea plane and see this.... and you forget all about him! Joking... but it sure does beat city traffic! What breathetaking days we have had in the last few weeks. If you're not getting married on Whitehaven, put it on your list of things to do in the Whitsundays after your big day (even if you get married in Melbourne!) See why.......

05.01.2022 As a wedding photographer, days can be quite long (14hrs is not uncommon) and sometimes very challenging (emotions, the unexpected, family dynamics - to name a few). It is our role to capture one of the most important days of a couples lives and there is no going back! I've dedicated 16 years to the art of understanding and relating to people, predicting moments before they unfold, supporting brides through the emotional ups and downs and most importantly telling a story as... it unfolds in a way that reflects the realtionships, the details and personailities of the people nearest and dearest. Some nights I get home and stare blankly at the TV (which is off) while I beg my husband for a massage (he has selective hearing, he just grunts and in the morning swears he did not hear me). To come into the studio and receive heartfelt words from our couples such as these, makes every step of the wedding day journey and my career worth its weight in gold! It takes a team of people to achieve the standards we offer our couples, I am full of gratitude to all our girls and the devotion they have not only to their jobs and this industry but also to each and every one of our couples. 05.01.2022 Villa Boatanica is a loved venue for our locals too! Toni & Ben from Mackay loved the diversity of the Villa Botanica grounds as we moved from rainforest to waterside and enjoyed the Balinese inspired architecture along the way. Magnificent day had by all!
