20.01.2022 The Grenville League has come together to support a great family who has done so much for their community and clubs. Max Uren Grenville junior and Senior Cricket Rep and Junior at the Lismore - Derri FNC has gone into the Royal Children's for treatment after been diagnosed with lymphoma couple of weeks ago. The community is rallying to raise funds to help support Max and his great family. Here is the first event held this Sat morning at Smythesdale Rec Reserve. Please head do...wn and support. Message from Smythesdale President below. If anyone is feeling hungry Saturday morning head on down to the Smythesdale oval where Smythesdale take on Linton in under 16 cricket. Both clubs are combining together to sell bacon and eggs rolls with all proceeds going to the Uren family of Derrinallum. Max is a first year senior player and has always played in juniors at Derri. He is a friend to many of our players and has played in rep cricket teams with them. Max is in Melbourne starting treatment for Lymphoma. We want to show our support to the Uren family. So head on down Saturday morning for a great cause.

13.01.2022 Icon Ballarat would like to wish the Bacchus Marsh Lions Basketball Club all the best as they play in the BVCC South West Mens grandfinal in Colac on Sat Night. Last week the Lions travelled to Horsham to face off against the Hornets as heavy underdogs. In a great game, the lions sprung a surprise and defeated the home side by eight points. All this in their inaugural season. Icon Ballarat was asked to design a new club logo. Design and manufacture coaches / support staff uniforms, off court apparel, warm up uniforms and reversible playing uniforms as pictured below. What ever happens the club has been a massive success for Basketball in the region. Well done to all involved. Go Lions..

02.01.2022 Some great news yesterday. Icon star Gavan Hicks has lead the Victoria Vikings to the National ID Men's Championship defeating SA in the last over of the game played in Geelong. Lead by the icon run machine Gavan Hicks, who scored 88 off 66 balls. Victoria chased down the the 128 target set by SA in the final over of the day in a thriller. What a week for Gav. Topping off an amazing tournament we know this is what he was wanting the most. Congrats to all involved at the Vikings.
