24.01.2022 What a wonderful first week back at the studio! We have absolutely loved seeing everyones smiley faces and joyful enthusiasm! Thank you to everyone for adhering to our Covid Safe Plan. If grandmas, aunties, nanas, or Dads are dropping off we would appreciate if you could take them through the following guidelines Also please explain that during this time food is not allowed to be consumed by students inside the premises.

22.01.2022 Congratulations everyone on 5 fantastic concerts yesterday! You guys lit up the stage with your amazing talents and beautiful smiles. We are so proud of each and every one of you! A big congratulations to Hannah Dolan who received our 2020 Dancer of the Year! Well done to Claudia, Maddison, Amy T and Marlee who all received their 10 Year Anniversary plaques and pins. And Holly, Evie, Jayanna, Isla, Matilda, Georgia, Bella A, Ivyee and Taleiya who received their 5 Year Anniv...ersary Pins. A big thank you to Lucas and Harry for everything they do to put on our shows! And Emmovations for recording and editing so you have a great memory to keep forever. A massive thank you must go to Miss Brittany, Miss Claudia, Tracey, Michelle, Jasmine, Theresa, Kirsty, and Vanessa for the epic job of cleaning, sanitising and resetting between each show! 11.01.2022 The Queensland Country Women’s Association (QCWA) invites dance students from Darling Downs to apply for a 2021 bursary worth $1000. The bursary is open to male... or female students of any age who are accepted or enrolled to study dance at a tertiary level in 2021. Students must have a home address in the area covered by the QCWA Darling Downs Division, which includes Toowoomba, Beauaraba, Crow’s Nest, Goombungee, Highfields, Kingsthorpe, Middle Ridge, Oakey and Upper Lockyer/Withcott. QCWA Darling Downs President Carmel Goldsworthy said this was an annual campaign which she and her local members took delight in delivering. Generosity is a core value of our division and so it’s a great pleasure to provide financial support to a local, talented student to help them realise their dreams in dance, she said. This is just one of over 15 bursaries totalling over $17,000 which QCWA will award in 2021. QCWA State President Christine King said the annual bursary campaign was one of the association’s favourite ways to support the Queensland community. At QCWA we have a strong desire to help others, she said. Education is important to us, so we offer a number of bursaries every year to assist Queensland students with the cost of their studies. We know 2020 has been a difficult year for Queensland families with many experiencing financial hardship. For some, one of these bursaries could mean the career-defining difference between their child continuing their studies or not. Other bursaries on offer range from $500 to $2,500 and cover study areas such as rural studies, music, midwifery, photography and more. Bursaries are open to males and females. 09.01.2022 It's Throwback Thursday! She may have gotten a wee bit taller but our sweet Maddy hasn't changed too much! One of the sweetest young ladies we know with a heart of gold, she is such an awesome role model for our younger students and is an amazing DanceStep Leader. Maddy has danced at Disneyland twice with us, still has the same beautiful smile she came in with in 2010 and is a very kind soul. We love you Maddy x

06.01.2022 Dance parents, we have a little problem... we are seeing more and more parents & grandparents enter the studio without signing the contact tracing register. Please note this is a legal requirement! All adults that enter the studio MUST SIGN IN! If you are there for 5 seconds or 5 minutes, all adults and non students of the studio must sign the contact tracing register. Please do not be offended when we ask you to do this.

Last lesson for our year 12 graduates and the annual signing of the senior door Congratulations to Zoe, Lucy, Katie, Kaila and Chloe - we are all so incredibly proud of everything you have achieved and the beautiful accomplished ladies you have grown to be. Together you’ve accumulated 46 years with us and I hope that we get to continue to witness you blossom for another 46 years xx We love you soooo much! This tradition started at our old studio when our superstar year 12’s signed the back of a door to mark their massive graduation achievements (we even bought the door with us when we moved!).

01.01.2022 Were loving our first week back and it was wonderful to have our Seniors with us again tonight. So we asked them to tell us some news! Its been such a long time, the longest weve ever been apart so we wanted to share their news with you all! Kaila - My big news is that my cousin is getting married in 2022 and she asked me to be her bridesmaid. And I got a job at an accounting firm in Toowoomba! Miss you all so much. Keen to see you all again Paige - My exciting new...s that I found out on the holidays is that my sister in-law is 21 weeks pregnant. Im going to be an Aunty again on the 10th of November and its a girl, her name is going to be Poppy Sian - signed a lease on a house with her husband Ash (still seems weird typing that). Its their first home together! She also got her first placement for TAFE in Early Childhood Education and Care Kirra-lee - My first cousin on my mums side was born, a little girl named Blake Harper She also cut her fringe while she was in iso and had her birthday Katie and Lucy both purchased their formal dresses, went to the coast and have decided theyre just going to stay at dance for the next 10 years! (Ok maybe I made that last one up) Estella passed her learners licence test! And she is very excited to start learning to drive as soon as she turns 16! Shes also been on a camp this week and spent the last 2 nights FREEZING in a tent! Miss Brittany had her first car accident but was lucky to be unharmed. Shes now bought a new car! Work has started for her again at the Turf Club and shes almost finished her Cert IV in dance teaching and management Miss Claudia has been studying hard, still did an in school prac and has been super busy doing some improvements to her house. She also got a new kitten but the name is still to be debated... it has to be a Disney name but Connor wants to call her Leia (from Star Wars) Miss Carla broke her toe/foot early on in April and it still hasnt healed So you will still see her rocking around in a moon boot for a while. So all the big jobs on the studio she wanted to achieve whilst the studio was closed didnt happen But she was very lucky to get a full time job at the real estate while we were closed, and spend lots of time with Mr Jasper Mr Jasper got a haircut and has been enjoying having his mummy at home early at night for once. He hasnt had a big walk since his mum broke her foot in April!! So has packed on the COVID kilos a smidge... And Mazs Mum saved Miss Carla from a frog on the IDance toilet... and Toadie Smith now lives with Maz
