21.01.2022 Business Tip: Get a mentor. It doesn't have to be us, but of course we would like that. Pick someone who inspires you. Pick someone who communicates clearly.... They don't have to be older than you. A younger mentor might have the technical skills, for example, that you aspire to have. And it's ok to pick someone critical. Sometimes you might not like what you hear. You can always choose what you take on board and what you 'park for later'. Enjoy the process. And when you ask that person if they will help - be considerate of their time.

Sunday - working on the implementation plan for a brand new cosmetic injectables franchise here in Brisbane. The site visit was a highlight, amazing lunch and great company. #watchthisspace These projects are really different and yet both super cool. We achieved today what would normally take me a few months with a client so wow.... just wow... the team worked so hard. I think the hardest they will ever have to work. I've known one of the team members for over five years in different roles and I have never, ever, seen her so exhausted. She did spectacularly. #yourealegendTrina

08.01.2022 Business Tip: Ask for their budget. I was working with some clients this week who felt they were put on the spot when it came to quoting for their services. To give some context, one person of a three person business was approached to quote for a large project but it required consulting with their team and they were asked to give a figure off the top of their head.... If you find yourself in this position you have lots of options. But which option do you think would give you the maximum opportunity to work with them without quoting over their budget or selling yourself short? Ask them what their budget for the project is. That way you can work out with your team what services you'll be able to offer that's within their budget. It will take the guess work out of the transaction and the customer knows your services will be priced within a range that's affordable to them. It's not bad to talk about money. It's essential in business. Get comfortable talking about money. It will help you meet your customers needs. We help small businesses grow. 01.01.2022 Business Tip: Get OK with discomfort. Outside of your comfort zone is where real change happens. Massive growth, steep growth and change is not always comfortable.... And that's completely ok. It is what it is and once you accept that feeling of slight discomfort - you can keep moving. You're not doing anything wrong. The situation is just new. And so it's unfamiliar. And that's ok. Being OK during discomfort is ok. And discomfort is temporary. Once you've done what needs doing - next time you need to do it - it won't be unfamiliar. And you won't feel that same discomfort as much again. And then you're a legend. Just kidding. You always were a legend.
