19.01.2022 Idea #3 If you are sticking to a tight budget, online grocery shopping is ideal. It takes away a lot of the temptation to buy things you wouldn't normally buy, you know exactly how much it will cost you so you don't need to walk around with a calculator and there are no delivery charges attached.

18.01.2022 As a sole parent working full time and renting, my life was controlled by the owners of the homes I was living in at the time. I was working and trying to raise two boys on my own while trying to make my budget stretch from one week to the next. Reality hit me when one landlord decided they wanted to sell their home, and then another wanted one of their family members to live in the house I was renting until eventually, my boys and I were advised that we had to move out. 18.01.2022 Idea #2 When the government introduced the 10c refund on certain recyclables, they knew people would eventually stop cashing them in and they would profit from the increase. Do you recycle your bottles? This money could go toward your rego, electricity or even a holiday if you save it over a year.

16.01.2022 Idea #7 Does your bank have a rounding up account? You can nominate to round up to the nearest $1 or $5 for every purchase you make. After 12 months, you could pay your rego or even go on a holiday with that money.

08.01.2022 Idea #5 When doing up your budget, pay off the debt with the highest interest rate first eg, credit card or personal loan. Do you know how much interest you are actually paying? Once the credit card is paid off, cut it up!!!

06.01.2022 Idea#1 Do you make payments toward your rego, electricity etc so that when the bill comes, you have it covered? Why not open up an account where you can make automatic payments into instead of having to find the money when the bill comes in. That way you can earn the interest off your own money. You may not think it will earn you much interest but you never know, it could help you make one less monthly payment.

06.01.2022 Idea #6 Did you know, Origin have an app that you can download so you can keep an eye on how much your electricity or gas bill is going to be and when it's due. I like this idea so no nasty surprises. Does your electricity company have one?

01.01.2022 Idea #4 A fuel app is a good way of seeing which petrol station has the lowest fuel price when you need it. I use RACQ Fair Fuel Finder. This app doesn't play favourites and you don't need to waste fuel trying to find the cheapest price. I know there are other apps that you can use as well.
