12.01.2022 "The Hedge - Buddina" design from iDesign2Build has its essence in sunlight and air. Marisa Berquin-Oum from iDesign2Build said "Being located in such a beautiful natural environment to close to the beach, building boxes for people to live in was never going to be an option. "The Hedge - Buddina" uses passive design principles, drawing on the local micro climate to make it environmentally sustainable and hopefully a joy to live in. Though allowing for staging, the main design... parameters of having two structures stems from principles that the split building design allows a corridor of natural light to shine through the site, inviting cool breezes and natural ventilation". iDesign2Build is inspired to work in the field of sustainable building design, creating homes and buildings which are environmentally smart and powered by passive energy sources. She also said "The green attributes are a key feature of The Hedge, not just the wide use of foliage and carbon absorbing plants, but the design principles that maximise passive energy."
