PEOPLE LIKE TO GET THEIR YARDS AND GARDENS INTO SHAPE IN THE COOLER MONTHS. BERNICE BRAULT TWENTY-one years later and with thousands of kilometres walked, Mick Brault remains one of the go-to people when you need your yard tended to. The milestone is a point of celebration for the local business. Bernice and Mick Brault have supported each other in business during those years. Mr Brault began his career with Main Roads and then turned his hand to mowing, first with Mick’s Mowing and then the Ipswich District Moving Service. The dry conditions have not been good for business but Mr Brault keeps busy by turning his hand to other tasks. The recent rain has prompted growth in lawns and gardens. Winter is traditionally our slow time, but we offer garden mulching and maintenance work, Ms Brault said. People like to get their yards and gardens into shape in the cooler months. The Braults have learned how to work with the seasons. The company offers general garden maintenance, lawn-mowing, planting, and tree pruning for domestic and commercial premises. We have a good number of regular clients around Ipswich and corporate offices. We also have some government contracts and are on the home assist list for the council, Ms Brault said. Some clients have been with us since we started and we have a number of elderly people and renters who call us for preparing for a house inspection. The Braults are aware ofsmall time operators in the market. The smaller operators can do the job at a low price but they don’t usually have insurance and will not take away the rubbish. Often, they have only domestic equipment, Ms Brault said. We are fully insured and take away rubbish for landfill. We treat each client as an individual. Sometimes people just need some help to get things into shape, and others need ongoing assistance. Ipswich District Mowing Service is looking for more corporate and local domestic clients.
