07.01.2022 Bit long but so worth the read... Bob Marley once said: "You may not be her first, or her only. But if she loves you now, what else matters?... She's not perfectyou aren't either, and the two of you may never be perfect together but if she can make you laugh, cause you to think twice, and admit to being human and making mistakes, hold onto her and give her the most you can. She may not be thinking about you every second of the day, but she will give you a part of her that she knows you can breakher heart. So don't hurt her, don't change her, don't analyze and don't expect more than she can give. Smile when she makes you happy, let her know when she makes you mad, and miss her when she's not there. Love with your whole being when you receive love. Because there are no perfect girls, but there will always be a girl who is perfect for you.."

02.01.2022 Being a celebrant is a bit like being an iceberg - most people only see us at the ceremony, which is usually around 20 minutes long. And sometimes when I've given a quote I get the comment 'but we only need you for 20 minutes!'. The celebrant acts on behalf of the Australian Government - we check, complete and lodge all documents with Births, Deaths and Marriages and ensure that your ceremony complies with the Marriage Act 1961. For most of this year, the celebrant has also ...had the responsibility of managing COVID restrictions at the ceremony. I write every ceremony from scratch which takes quite a few hours. Then there are the meetings, stationery, insurance, decorations, rehearsal, PA system, postage and travel! It all adds up, and even so, the celebrant will still probably be your cheapest wedding vendor! And yet - without a celebrant, all you are doing is having a very expensive party! See more
