25.01.2022 The tranquil rainforest setting of the Wedding Lawn at the Mt Cootha Botanical Gardens were the perfect setting for the wedding of Dan and Angie, overcast skies did not dampen the occassion for family and friends who celebrated with them. Angie was dressed in a stunning navy blue gown that matched perfectly with the bridal party. A tremendous couple who certainly enjoy life to the fullest, all my best wishes to them foir their married life together.

23.01.2022 The stately old courtroom of the Treasury Building (now the Treasury Hotel) was full of laughter and cheers as Ben and Cathy exchanged vows before family and friends many from overseas, a special moment for both when Cathys loved grandmother gave her away and Bens parents gave him away. A far cry from their first date when Cathy dressed in a bright floral dress waited impatiently for Ben and almost decided not to wait any longer, she was so glad she did though and and three years later they exchanged heaerwtfelt vows to each other to become husband and wife.

23.01.2022 Mooloolaba Beach wedding for Tomas and Tawnee, the sun, sand and surf all combined to make their day something very special for their family and friends many from down south, I know they are looking forward to the overseas honeymoon. Tawnee sent these lovely words this week. Hi Geoff,... Just to say a massive thank you for all your hard work in preparing our ceremony and for making everything run so smoothly on the day. We absolutely loved our service, many family members have said how much they enjoyed your words and that you were a perfect fit for our day. We are over the moon with how everything went. Tawnee & Tomas.

23.01.2022 Pink Colombian roses filled the lakeside chapel @Sirromet Wines for the intimate ceremony of Hamdan and Amanda, superb topiaries and displays were a credit to Roseta Florists with the aroma of the roses and carnations in all the arrangements certainly made the ceremony very special, many of their loved families and guests had travelled from overseas to celebrate the day with Hamdan and Amanda and I am sure they all partied well into the evening at Sirromets Lurleens restauarant. A loving couple who I know will have a great married life together and certainly a pleasure for me to be a small part of their day.

23.01.2022 Still lots of couples too go, will try and post these soon.

23.01.2022 Words cannot describe the words and feelings expressed by Michael and Jennifer at their very memorable ceremony at Maleny Manor, so many of their loved family were involved in the ceremony making it very special for them all, the brides father and brother and many of the guests wore tartan kilts and Piper Jeff on the bagpipes was a highlight of the day. There were certainly many a tear during the ceremony and I was so very proud of them both, I know they cherish each others company and will have a wonderful married life together, all my best wishes.

23.01.2022 From the dusty plains of the west to the stunning botanical gardens in Brisbane, the day was certainly a fairytale one for Dave and Peta as they joined with family and friends from all over to celebrate their wedding day. Their busy grain farm and horse stud at Ellangowan was momentarily forgotten in the gardens and the sun certainly did shine on them, making the day all the more special. They told me they all had a wonderful time at their reception at The Marriot Hotel before next day driving back the the property to start harvesting the grain - It was a very memorable day and I was proud to be a small part of it, I know they will certainly enjoy life and look forward to keeping in touch.

22.01.2022 A quick move of their ceremony undercover did not deter family and friends from celebrating with Andrew and Chantel at the North Lakes Golf Club. Both had written heartfelt vows to each other that certainly bought a few tisues out. All my best to this young couple.

21.01.2022 The old Naval Stores at Kangaroo point now known as Riverlife were certainly full of festivity for the ceremony of John and Katherine, the river was a definate must on their choice of venue as both are serving Navy members. Certainly a special day with many wonderful memories for all.

20.01.2022 The key to making every couple feel special As wedding suppliers, its our job to help make a couples day feel extra special. And while every couple might want a dream wedding with all the bells and whistles, the reality is that not all couples will be able to achieve this. But what we need to remember is that this doesnt make the day any less special for the couple involved. At the end of the day, theyre marrying the person they love and that wedding is going to be just as...Continue reading

18.01.2022 The manicured lawns of Flaxton Gardens in the Sunshine Coast hinterland was the romantic setting for the wedding of David and Abby who exchanged vows and wedding rings before family and friends, there were four generations of family there on Abbys side which was very special for her. The Sunshine Coast where David proposed 18 months ago has many fond memories for both. I know they will certainly live life to the fullest and wish them every happiness.

17.01.2022 Bride & Groom Parents give their daughter and son away Many years ago I officiated at a large ceremony that had all the trimmings you could say and all seemed to be so happy. After the ceremony the grooms mother was off to the side and looked very sad and alone.... I approached her and asked if she was OK, her response at the time took me off guard. Geoff its all about the bride today, what about my son to me he is just as important and yet all the focus is on the bride, and it is just not right! This emotional statement stayed with me for a while and I thought why cant both parents be involved and started asking my couples if they were very close with their parents if the answer was Yes I suggested the option of both lots of parents giving them away, the dad still having the traditional walking his daughter down the aisle. Couples were very excited and sometimes emotional as they realised that their loved mums and dads could all be involved in this precious moment with them. In the ceremony after the welcome introduction I then ask the parents to stand with their daughter and son and say special words that reflect the moment then asking the brides parents to take the groom as their son-in-law and giving him all their support, likewise the grooms parents taking the bride as their daughter-in-law. Approximately 80% of all my ceremonies now have this very personal moment and hearing the words of love and blessings from the parents is memorable for me also and Yes there are often lots of tissues on hand. Sometimes the brides dad takes the opportunity to welcome the groom into the family, which is often done later at the reception, but is again a step away from the traditions of old and creating another memory. Step dads and step mums are also often present or children, the wording is tailored to reflect the occasion. Hopes this helps to make planning your ceremony or someone you know who is geting married even more intimate and personal. Geoff Mazlin Marrriage Celebrant W: geoffmazlin.com.au M: 0407 676 550

01.01.2022 The bride wore riding boots, as did the bridesmaids on a day that will be remembered for many reasons, first the royal wedding at Windsor Castle which I am sure did not go anywhere near the love, excitement and atmosphere of Chris and Emilys rustic ceremony, held on the lawns of the historic Coronation Hall at Somerset Dam. And what a day it was with family and friends all enjoying the day and the being part of the journey to the day which I know will have so many memories for all. Emilys and Chriss parents both gave theri daughter and son away which was a special moment for them. Emilys nan made their wedding cake which was certainly different with a farm yard scene and gum leaves adorning. All partied well into the night in the charming hall which family and friends had decorated magically.
