03.01.2022 Just a heads up.....Tuesday, September 10 is World Suicide Prevention Day and if the last few years are anything to go by, we can expect a spike in Men's Suicide, due in part to loneliness and disconnection caused by separation from children. It's a very complicated matter and the writer wishes no one to pass judgement on any party, however difficulties faced today for separated fathers is enormous. Often, when the focus on days such as WSPD, is heighten by media attention,... it can become a trigger to a father that is already feeling isolated, and is not otherwise coping as well as those around him may think. You can play a part in helping dads through days like these by simply being a good listener. Often you don't need to say much......just be a good mate and listen. The power is yours.......if you know or suspect someone in this situation, be a good mate......make the call, or better still drop in and check up on ya brother. Help stop the anguish of another family going through the hell of losing a loved one. And Remember the Children!
