25.01.2022 On Sunday we celebrated @donatelifetoday Thank You Day. A time of reflection in our family where we give thanks for the organ donor who saved Ante’s life. Behind each small family business is real people, and ours is no different. This building company has a boss who suffered for over 15years from a degenerative liver disease, and in 2014 his illness was severe enough that Ante was listed on the organ transplant wait list for a new organ. In 2015 our prayers were answered and... his life saved with the gift of a healthy liver. it enabled him to be alive and healthy to meet his first child Iva who was born four months later. We may never meet the donor’s family to thank them personally, so on Thank You Day especially we are grateful (as we are on all days) that they made the decision to support their loved one’s decision to donate. 22.01.2022 After twelve months of working alongside our clients and FGR Architects to design a family home we are delighted to have broken ground and commenced construction. A diligent, considered approach working closely with a team on consultants to produce a design package of over 250 pages of documentation. Together with our team of contractors we will make this brutalist concrete home, textured with timber and a minimalist palette a sanctuary for a young family to enjoy for man...y many years to come. There will be plenty of updates as we take on an approach more akin to a commercial build methodology. @ Strathmore

20.01.2022 Ante, the man who heads up this small family company, has had a roller coaster 40 years. Suffering most of his adult years with liver disease and Crohns disease, an organ transplant was his only chance at survival. After seven months on the waiting list, a generous gift from a donor saved Ante's life. In the five years since, Ante's life has become fuller than he ever imagined. We welcomed our first child into the world, and have built a beautiful family home. This business... has expanded, Ante's health has strengthened and we've travelled far and wide, not wanting to miss any opportunity. Ante has always tried to remain positive and not let his illness define or limit him. An avid soccer fan and player, he only stopped playing for 15 months during the 23 years he suffered with his illnesses. We are so proud to announce that he has been selected to represent Australia at the Transplant World Cup in Italy, in August. The Australian team is one of only eight across the world to have been invited to participate in the World Cup, hosted by the World Transplant Game Federation. The boys won’t be playing in front of huge crowds, or televised across the globe. They are not superstars, nor heroes. But their organ donors are. As a team they are united by their gratitude, resilience and hope. The boys will reflect and honour their donor and all donor families for the courage and bravery they showed. Today we're sharing this because we need your support! The 25 players and support staff are required to fund their participation, receiving no government or other funding. The burden of these costs falls directly upon the players, many of whom experience long-term financial disadvantage as a result of their health. The Australian team has a fundraising goal of $90,000.
