25.01.2022 The benefits of Simulator driver training CAN compliment real life driving instruction. As previously stated I started using the simulator for my own driver training. A very economical & time efficient addition to real car training. Who knew that iDriveSim Training would be born!... I have learnt so much about the computer, new applications, setting up the sim rig, adjustments & still continue to learn. The Safe Drive Training software is internationally renown & based in Queensland! SDT also provide many training resources for example the Fatal Vision googles which iDriveSim Training also utilizes with clients. SDT has given permission for me to share a snippet of one of their many videos https://www.youtube.com/c/sdtaustralia I’m an advocate for regular Advanced driver training. We all need to do it more often! However, to attend advanced driver training in real life can be costly for some. At iDriveSim Training you can just walk in & sit down for an hour knowing you’re improving your driving confidence, judgement & anticipation/reaction to multiple real life scenarios. For more information to experience the iDriveSim Training simulator or any of their resources connect via the website on www.idrivesimtraining.com.au

24.01.2022 Whether it’s a short or long drive, travelling to or from work, time with friends or family, don’t rush & arrive safe. #choosetocruise

22.01.2022 Learning to co-ordinate gears, worried about stalling the car in traffic...? A common learner driver thought is I might learn automatic first and do the manual gears later... We all know this rarely happens. iDriveSim Training encourages the manual gears first as it teaches better judgement for various scenarios & vehicle types. It trains the brain for better awareness & reaction. ... I received some feedback about learning gear changes on the simulator just the other day stating that this is why practicing like this is so good. I can change up alright but need more practice at changing down. Drivers can take their time, feel less anxious & there’s no pressure from real time traffic. Drivers may also be unaware of basic vehicle operation components. For example how to work the clutch & accelerator when changing gears. At iDriveSim Training time is taken to explain the how’s & why's. Once drivers feel comfortable with this skill they can move on to a real car. If we are giving our kids the keys to drive, it is SO important to take the time to explain how to operate their vehicle safely AND just as importantly, how to feel safe as a passenger! #drivesafe #logitechg920

22.01.2022 NOW BOOKING - Occupational Therapy Driving Assessments. Does your client or child need to practice their driving skills? Ask your Occupational Therapist to contact iDriveSim Training today. iDriveSim Training connects with industry professionals to assist individuals with their ability to start, resume or continue driving. This may be as a result of aging, illness or injury. Driving practice on the iDriveSim Training simulator aids in this process.... Once drivers have completed their simulator practice they are assessed by an Occupational Therapist Driving Assessor in a real car to prove they are fit to drive as per the required licensing regulations. Drivers may be required to demonstrate they are able to drive for example, a limited distance from home, or are able to drive an automatic vehicle. These are only two such categories & assessments depend on the individuals circumstance. iDriveSim Training provides a useful step in this process, helping individuals to regain ones chosen lifestyle & independence. It gives peace of mind to families & friends when loved ones rebuild their skills & confidence to drive. An example is this snippet from a clients testimonial with the full version on the iDriveSim Training website. My son has special needs including difficulties with spatial awareness. The time spent on the iDriveSim Training program has been fantastic for him. He has learnt to drive safely and effectively in a simulated environment. The program scenarios simulate practically any driving situation, including wayward pedestrians. Whether returning to drive after an accident or injury, in need of a confidence boost or just curious - contact Di by sending an email to [email protected]. #drivesafe

17.01.2022 The problem... driver training. The solution... iDriveSim Training. I have always had an interest in helping & educating others. It began in my youth with my parents support & encouragement while playing various sport. I progressed to coaching sports such as softball, hockey & swimming to name a few. As a parent I was also involved with assisting in my children’s school activities inside & outside of the classroom. It was so rewarding to see a person overcome a lack of confi...dence, fear or anxiety & achieve their goals. An example from my sport was during a softball game my short stop took a hit fielding a ground ball. It ran up his gloved hand & hit him in the face. No major injuries thankfully but an awful scare just the same. As a young coach I was advised to put a catchers mask on him & smash balls at him to field. For me as a player I knew I wouldn’t have liked that so I did it different. I went back to basics, we worked on body position, glove technique, body movement. I would roll the balls towards my player & as his confidence returned I would hit the balls towards him gradually increasing the pace. I’m proud to say my A grade men’s softball team won the clubs first ever grand final that year. My short stop had the best pick up & throw outs. They were young & keen & the attention to detail paid off. So what’s this got to do with iDriveSim Training? There are people in our community that need assistance with building their driving confidence. Driving on the iDriveSim Training simulator is where you can start with the basics & progress forward with confidence. If you are interested in being a skilled, safe driver head over to www.idrivesimtraining.com.au, I’m here to help. #supervisedrivesurvive #iDriveSimTraining #drivertraining #learntodrive #simdriver #drivingsimulator #esports #womeninmotorsport #SDTsoftware #pagnian #gtultimate #logitech #testtrack #sunshinecoast #lifeeducation #roadsafety #d2bd #drivesafernotfaster #safedriver #drivesafe

16.01.2022 I’ve just watched a Qld Police Service post... It brings back memories of when I worked in Qld Police admin some years ago now. I’ve typed up the reports, collated files for court & seen the affects on staff. Please #drivesafe #choosetocruise #Fatal5 #arrivesafe

15.01.2022 It’s dark & on a country road. Drive to the conditions is a frequent reminder given to all drivers while training with iDriveSim Training. Driver response, road conditions, excess speed & vehicle capacity are some of the driving scenario aspects that are practiced on the simulator without risk of damage or injury to individuals. Taking care of your vehicle while driving is also important. It needs to be in a road worthy condition to effectively operate on demand. Roundabout...s are notorious for tyre wear, speed bumps repeatedly compress & expand the suspension, excessive braking or hilly terrain wear down brake pads. Think of your passengers also. Drive smoothly to avoid throwing them around in the vehicle, especially four wheel drives. Head & spine injuries are common when off-roading. iDriveSim Training encourages all drivers to value their driving knowledge & skills. This requires practice. Like to know more? iDriveSim Training is here to help. Enquiries can be by phone, email or private message, see the website link in the bio. PS Trees don’t move out of your way!

15.01.2022 Drivers need to practice moving their hands. If other sporting codes program slow & fast twitch movements into their training, why not for everyday driving. Drivers also need to do specialized drills for car control. The previous iDriveSim Training video post at the training track was slow twitch, focussing on smooth driving lines & observing traffic rules & signs. This post is about fast twitch or reactive responses. Drivers love this challenge on the iDriveSim Training simu...lator as it’s a timed driving skill & fun. It requires accuracy while maintaining a specified speed limit. The test is an advanced driving technique which is practiced for emergency evasion or lane change & stopping. It’s exciting to successfully complete an Elks Test & stay off the walls or markers. In real life this skill is even more difficult to control at higher speeds & in traffic. Small sharp moves of the hands are required which can easily become too big & result in loss of control. Unfortunately it is also a common occurrence to witness normal lane changing undertaken with over pulling or aggressive steering. This is a recipe for disaster! Be a skilled driver, read the traffic conditions early & give yourself a better chance at avoiding dangerous situations. For more information about the iDriveSim Training simulator head to the link in the bio.

15.01.2022 Congratulations Aiden! It has been great to watch your confidence grow over the last 8 weeks of iDriveSim Training. You are more relaxed at the wheel, have better judgement & have progressed to minimal mistakes in what were difficult tasks in the beginning. I’m so glad you enjoyed the Fatal Vision goggles also ... Thank you for the wonderful feedback & testimonial. I look forward to hopefully seeing you at a Safe Drive Training day in the future. I KNOW you will continue your great practice! #drivesafe

Women become the taxi for the whole family, driving any time of the day or night, usually everyday & in all weather conditions. How confident are you? 07.01.2022 POWER isn’t always about vehicle speed, it also represents as a reminder for drivers to regularly check that their car is safe to operate. Petrol - do you know what type your vehicle requires, how to refuel safely & fire/first aid procedures in case of emergency. Oil - check the levels of the engine oil & power steering oil. How long is it since it was changed?... Water - is there enough radiator coolant & top up the windscreen washer & battery water if required. *only check the radiator before driving, never when the car is hot! Electrics - battery check, brake lights, indicators. Ask your mechanic or a friend if you need help with checking these. Rubber - tyres, belts, hoses & wiper blades. Again ask your mechanic if these have been checked or what you need to be on the look out for. Ask them to show you. Knowledge is also power, it helps you communicate with your mechanic. It’s National Road Safety Week which covers many aspects of safe driving. Ensure your vehicle is in good condition for appropriate operation & community safety keeping accidents to a minimum. For more information about NRSW head to roadsafetyweek.com.au for details. #drivesafe

06.01.2022 Take the time to watch & drive safe everyone

06.01.2022 Practice Practice Practice I love to race! I’m not the fastest, I don’t have a powerful car but first & foremost for me it’s about the car handling skills. I practice on a simulator & in real life with a car club whenever I can. Number 1 rule - if you want to race, do it at the track! Driving skills builds confidence to judge, react, avoid & manoeuvre a vehicle safely. To build that confidence requires regular practice. How, who, what, when & where you ask... ? ... iDriveSim Training can discuss this with you to find these different forms of driving, for example to seek out car club come & try days. Think about driving various vehicles, manual or automatic, 4 cylinder to 4 wheel drive, even try towing with an experienced person. Consider what type of vehicle other people are driving & give a thought for those towing or with larger vehicles. Give them the breaking distance THEY require! Practice on the iDriveSim Training simulator also assists your focus skills & how to identify drivers that maybe be distracted while they are driving or visitors to the area. Practice patience & good judgement. Look ahead, READ signs & prepare your next move early. Above all arrive safe. To experience the iDriveSim Training simulator or any of their resources connect via the website on www.idrivesimtraining.com.au

05.01.2022 Practice Practice and more Practice! I drove a different car at training yesterday thanks to Newson Motorsport. It was my first ever attempt at a rear wheel drive ute & it had a heavy clutch just like the good old days It felt so different & made me think more about where my front wheels were pointing while the rear kicked out compared to the all wheel drive Subaru. Stay alert when you drive & keep up the good practice! #drivesafe #practicewhatyoupreach #supervisedrivesurvive #iDriveSimTraining #drivertraining #learntodrive #simdriver #drivingsimulator #esports #womeninmotorsport #SDTsoftware #pagnian #gtultimate #logitech #testtrack #sunshinecoast #lifeeducation #roadsafety #d2bd #drivesafernotfaster #safedriver #drivesafe

04.01.2022 Building experience in the esports arena has been interesting, frustrating & rewarding. I have worked my way up over the last couple of years from Division 10 to Division 3 in the Rallycross Series. Last season I topped the Australian Division 5. I actually started sim racing to practice my track lines & apexes for real life autocross & dirt sprints (oh & be careful calling it a game as some drivers don’t like it ) I truly believe in this type of sim training as I have tria...lled & test it. I’ve added some points to consider of the skills that are practiced at iDriveSim Training in the attached pictures. ALL of these skills relate to driving on public roads. At iDriveSim Training drivers can take action to improve these skills. Before judging other drivers, practice patience, be courteous & enjoy the drive. You never know until you give it a go! Sonoma - steer where you want to go. Bathurst Turn 1 gear glitch & catch - small fast hand moves. Phoenix pass - throttle control to balance speed or to limit/avoid contact. Daytona spin - react & look where you want to drive. To see the first 3 videos head over to the iDriveSim Training Instagram page. #drivesafe

04.01.2022 Why?? Last weekend was sadly another poor result for driving statistics. A relaxing long weekend, maybe a drive in the country... that turned tragic for some families. Our thoughts & prayers go out to them. With so many messages to drivers, education programs, safety pledges why do major incidents still occur. Some accidents like medical conditions will unfortunately take place but my own near miss, a potential head on with the approaching driver, eyes looking down can defini...tely be avoided. Every car is different, every situation is different, we need to stay alert. Please don’t use your vehicle as a weapon, please control your emotions, please give space, please read the traffic signs, please share the road safely. iDriveSim Training is here to help any driver, of all ages, whether learning to drive or in need of a confidence boost. Simulator training is used in many professional fields & has been for many years. You’ll never know till you give it a go! Enjoy the sunrises & sunsets

04.01.2022 If professional occupations such as pilots, train drivers, heavy machinery operators & the motorsports industry use simulators, why can’t the everyday commuter? I’m tired of hearing about road rage & accidents. We need to take a step back, slow down & observe from a different, more positive perspective. We need to help each other! The aim of the iDriveSim Training simulator is to compliment other forms of driver training & to give valuable experience most drivers don’t have ...access to. I have experienced this process with the simulator & witnessed it’s success. To be able to help drivers & to then refer them on to a driving school is a very satisfying achievement. In our world of rush & no rest, I believe the co-ordination of all the bodies senses needs to practice driving skills regularly. Adrenaline is forever pumping in our bodies from a busy lifestyle. This NEEDS calming to assist brain function & to minimize mental & physical fatigue. The iDriveSim Training simulator is the perfect starting point. iDriveSim Training provides: Care for the driver & parent needs Quiet location No stress Experienced supervisor Commitment to safe driving Real car knowledge & experience Drivers learn to: Be responsible for their actions Build confidence Relax Drive efficiently Remain calm under pressure. My advice... Book early! Link is in the bio. #drivesafe

03.01.2022 It’s Road Safety Week #streetsmarts & almost the end of Rural Road Safety Month #australianroadsafetyfoundation. For me it’s road safety EVERY DAY & to be prepared we ALL need to practice. I practice my driving skills on the simulator & transfer that practice to other club tracks which are tarmac or dirt surfaces. It’s been eight months since I’ve been able to get out to the dirt track at #iwmac, my auto club at #willowbank. It’s a great track with a lot of open space & a co...mmittee focused on helping everyone, especially junior drivers. I’m so glad to have the simulator training as the dirt track is always changing as the day progresses. I had a few spins yesterday but could confidently maneouvre my car safely & it’s fun What type of training have you done lately? I’d love to hear your stories. If you’d like to make a start on the iDriveSim Training simulator, my contacts are in the bio. #drivesafe See more
