24.01.2022 Bit of a slow video. The W Class will come fitted with on board Stay alive. When running on DCC this will help the locomotive run smoothly over the largest cross track and points. The model is running speed step 1 of 126.

24.01.2022 IDR Models is proud to announce our next RTR model. The BBW riveted ballast hopper in HO scale. This model will be available with three different types of bogies to cover eras from the 1920’s to the late 1990’s when the long careers of this wagon type ended. These models will be available mid 2021 with production due to commence after Chinese New Year. Further information and order forms will be available late February. Below are photos of the first tooling samples. Fitted with arch bar and 2 BN bogies. The 2 BN bogies will be fitted with disc wheels.

21.01.2022 IDR had a little trip down to Thirlmere Railway Museum. We had a look at the beautiful restored 7006 Class. Check out the photos and spot the mini-me, version of the 7006.

20.01.2022 IDR Models will be at Liverpool Model Train Exhibition this weekend 29th,30th September and 1st October 2018. We will be releasing our new engine The 70 Class

19.01.2022 Progress is being made on the 4501/7100 kit. The kit will be available at the Liverpool show and on the IDR Models website about the same time. The price is still being worked out. With some of the small detail parts still to be done in larger quantities.

18.01.2022 Just to show some of the work that goes into making a silicone mould. The pattern is fixed to the base ready to pour the first part of the mould. The complete mould takes a couple of days to complete. All goes well should be ready to go Wednesday.

17.01.2022 Finally I have all the production samples together. Production is just about completed and the models will be shipping shortly.

16.01.2022 Received some photos from the factory for the production of the W Class. They are well into constructing the chassis and the painting is complete. The assembly of the bodies has just started.

15.01.2022 Preorder your 70 Class now. Last week before closing date, 17 August 2018. 70 Class are now wrapped and ready for shipping to Australia.

14.01.2022 Yes it happened. DHL arrived this afternoon with the 70 Class. The running sample of the 70 Class, very happy with this model. It’s not complete but it’s the first running sample..

14.01.2022 Hi, Just an update for the W Class models. Unfortunately they are running late. Production has taken a little longer than expected. With late delivery of some of the parts to complete all of the models. We are getting close to the Christmas period and we are not certain of the delay in getting the shipment off the dock and through customs. If any.... We are hoping that they will be available by the end of January. The pre-orders will be extended till the models are on the ship and we have a final date for delivery. Below are some of the models I bought back from the factory in China. W244 is incomplete, missing the handrails. Which were not ready at the time of my visit. Very happy with the models and will be great shunting locomotives.

14.01.2022 IDR Models new 70 Class locomotives will be here soon. I have just returned from the factory in China. I’m happy with the production progress. As always there is still a few small delays. The box for the locomotive is not ready yet. Will have running production samples at the Rosehill show 9th, 10th & 11th June. Preorders are still available till the end of June. 12.01.2022 The weekend starts at the Sydney Model Railway Exhibition at the Olympic Park 2019. IDR Models is stand 31. We have order forms for the new model to be released soon. The NSWGR 7101 and the W Class. We have final painted samples.

11.01.2022 Received the shipment from China of the 7101 / W Class on Friday. Most of the pre-orders have been sent out today. We will post the remaining orders out in the next few days. We been under supplied the non sound DCC models. These are still in the factory being completed. I will contact the people who have ordered these models.

11.01.2022 Last day tomorrow for the Great Train show, exhibition at Rosehill Gardens. Come and see our new announcement. The Victorian Railways, W class and NSWGR 7101 locomotive. Which will be running on our display layout.

10.01.2022 Finally the W’s / 7101 are on the way. With the models leaving today just before Chinese New Year. The pre- order price will remain till the 6th of February. After this date pre-orders will not be accepted. If you haven’t sent an order and you would like to purchase a W Class, do so now. 08.01.2022 Hello Everyone We IDR Models will have a Stand at the Epping Model Railway Exhibition at Rosehill race course, this weekend. 8th-10th June 2019. We have a surprise announcement so come and visit at stand 14.... Unfortunately we haven’t been able to complete the kits of the 45 class. Due to the amount of work load and living in between. We have some on display and have a limited number of ready to run 4501/7100 models available.

03.01.2022 IDR Models update. We have been busy for the past year working on new projects. We are very happy to announce the Victorian railways DERM and MT trailer. This model is currently being tooled and the first test shots will be available in a couple of months. The DERM is being produced with DCC sound complete with on board stay alive circuit. More information and order forms will be available when we have received the final running samples. The BBW riveted ballast wagon is ...in production. With the release expected June. The order form is available for download on the IDR Models website. The W Class DCC sound are now sold out. A rerun is planned for next year. We will be attending the Canberra Model Railway expo at Kaleen high school on the Saturday 27th & Sunday 28th March 2021. The weekend after over the Easter weekend we are attending the Yarra valley model railway club 2021 model train exhibition on Saturday 3rd & Sunday 4th of April 2021. Look forward to seeing everyone over the next two weekends at the shows.
