06.01.2022 I have been working hard on my 'days off' (ha! I feel like I work 24/7 these days!) with these lovely ladies on the writing/compiling/editing of the 2019 Book ...Week book from the Ipswich District Teacher Librarian Network. I've not at all done as much work as Jenny,Michelle and Mel have done this year...the launch of 'Raising Readers' coincided with the start of writing/editing for this annual book and I've been a *TOUCH* busy (takes another swig of coffee). We have also eaten well this year...thanks to Mel, TL at Serviceton South SS. This week was at my house... . All TL's out there will know this FAB book, which has been around for such a long time now - we're super proud of what we have acheived as a network! Monies raised from the sale of the books fund the StoryArts Festival Ipswich (Ipswich Festival of Children's Literature) which is on in October! . If you are a teacher, teacher librarian, public librarian, homeschool educator or just plain interested, you can order it here: https://idtl.net.au/book-week.php See more

02.01.2022 Our community’s health and safety is our priority at this time, therefore we have had to make the unfortunate decision to cancel this year’s Ipswich Poetry Feas...t Launch and Poet’s Breakfast. Fear not fellow poets, the competition will still go ahead. The competition opens on Sunday 26th April 2020. We are looking forward to receiving your entries.
