18.01.2022 Following on from my last post about inclusive finger puppets, these are some of the ones that were requested. I’m not sure about the ones with darker skin tones because I think the other features get lost on the dark background so I’m going to try embroidering a face colour and using a lighter fabric. I was also asked about dwarfism but I’m waiting to hear back from someone in the short stature community before I share my picture (please let me know if you can help with that... ). 15.01.2022 My creativity hit a slump when we locked down, unfortunate timing really Last night though, I had a sudden realisation that we had a face to face paed appt (too much assessment needed for Telehealth) but our usual option for play before, during and after the appointment wouldn’t be available. So, I whipped these up this morning, and hid them in my bag, ready for colouring in. They worked a treat and have earned the high praise of being named for her siblings The hope is that with washing, they can be used again and again... if washable markers live up to their name...
