14.01.2022 Over 100 kids from six Sydney soccer clubs have joined forces with soccer hero John Aloisi to set a RecordSetter World Record for the Largest Kids Penalty Shoot-out. 116 kids aged between 6-13 years old made record history at the event at Easts FCs training pitch at Queens Park, including Easts FC, Maccabi and Maroubra United to launch the IGA Future Soccer Stars promotion. Ex-Socceroo and former Melbourne Heart coach, John Aloisi turned goalie for the first time as kids lin...ed up to take their shot. Players scored 51 goals in total, with Aloisi saving 65, overseen by official RecordSetter adjudicator Dave Thompson. In a bid to help foster new soccer talent across Australia, the IGA Future Soccer Stars promotion will give the 2,500 youth soccer clubs around the country the opportunity to win a share of $150,000 in club grants. Customers will also have the chance to win a share of $100,000 in instant win prizes through purchases at local IGA stores. Customers are able to nominate local clubs to receive a grant every time they make a purchase, with 15 $2,500 club prize draws taking place each week during 19th May and 17th June.
