18.01.2022 Yes I was a midwife for 12 years and love to share knowledge. There is a shroud of secrecy surrounding hospital birth. It’s because Drs and midwives like control and the hierarchy in the birth suites ensures women are voiceless. Even a pro active midwife is controlled by the Dr. This is why normal, unmedicated, birth is becoming rarer and rarer. I’ve started following this page on insta and I’m blown away by this obstetrician. She is calling out the Drs and midwives who intentionally make a birth their own. Those who take away the women’s voice with fear and even ridicule. I cringe when I hear the birth stories from traumatised women.
