25.01.2022 More and more my intuition is pulling me away from group thought. Any group minded activity. Any group led behaviour. Any process that holds up a teacher, a framework or a belief. Maybe it’s me in survival mode, or maybe I’m just claiming the power of my own mind? Maybe it’s just me refusing to be a sheep! . Whatever the case, I am embracing the freedom and the space to listen to my heart. It’s a wisdom which I know is crystal clear. . Going against the grain can carry with i...t a whole lot of emotions, questioning and push back. However, I will always choose love. That’s the language my heart knows best. . I uphold this desire for all beings, to know their own heart and to discern their own truth. To feel safe to explore what lights up their spirit, even if it is the least popular option. . 23.01.2022 Ive just spent a week in Bali with fellow Neuroenergetic Kinesiologists from around the world. The intention of the meetings was to lay down foundations to ensure the custodianship of this work and its legacy into the future; beyond its founder, Hugo Tobar. . It was incredible to witness the birthing of the Neuroenergetic Kinesiology College (NKC). 23.01.2022 One thing I made a conscious intention around early in my Kinesiology practice, was to keep my work separate from my personal life. . This means that despite what Im moving through in my humanness, it doesnt impact me showing up for and being 100% present with my clients. This is a conscious practice and something Ive been able to implement with some ease. . How? By distilling myself, leaving the ego sarah at the door, allowing space for whatever is needed for my client...s. . Outside of work, I carry the same struggles as all of you. Always a work in progress, I know that Im only as good a practitioner as the path Ive walked. So, I show up for my pain everyday. Some days it consumes me and I feel helpless, and other days Im able to tame it with little effort. But its constantly there and I wouldnt expect it any other way. 11.01.2022 So you know me as a Kinesiologist, but who else am I?! . I’m a water baby. Astrologically, my sun is in Cancer, my moon is in Pisces and my rising sign is Scorpio. Triple water, triple the feels. . My happy place is when my head is immersed in any body of water. I swim regularly and love to compete in ocean swims. It’s my meditation, and I’ve found this difficult during the restrictions. One day I will live by the beach and access ocean energy every day.... . I’m an INFJ. I love patterns. I see systems and meanings in everything. I found that helpful when I was a teacher and similarly with my clients today. . I’m a proud non-conformist! I’ve journeyed too far to be anything but! I’m not comfortable with labels, I believe they are a construct of the ego. So I don’t think of myself as a light worker or a healer or a shadow hunter or even an intuitive. I’m just me. My energy is quite porous and I enjoy the feeling of life running through me. I experience life as it chooses to brush against me. . I have a huge capacity to hear and see people. 07.01.2022 Healing Handbrakes . As a natural pattern-finder, I'm curious as to the differing speeds with which clients work through their blocks. . Of course, there are many reasons why we all process and heal differently. But over time working with clients, I have begun to notice a few key ‘handbrakes' that act very stealthily in their hinderance to growth. These handbrakes will happily battle in the light, which makes them very difficult to eagle-eye.... . Some are obvious and known, some are hidden. They include: + Stealth viruses/parasites + Prescription pain medication + Social drug use + Addictions/dependancies of all types . Clients may not mention or know of these handbrakes, but the recognisable signs which may suggest a potential block are: Systemic, whole body dysfunction and/or pain. Persistent health narratives that resist standard protocols. Distraction tactics (My personal go to!) . Firstly, there is nothing wrong with the expression of these handbrakes! There is no judgement or shame necessary. These actions need to be seen as an appropriate adaptation of the nervous system, and often beyond our control. . Therefore, the necessary place to start is with the underlying root issues - most commonly, unresolved trauma. . Trauma and stress drive an inflammatory response in the body which can then present in a myriad of systems in the body. This also may influence lifestyle choices and strategies to ‘bandaid’ the deeper issues. . Thankfully, Neuroenergetic Kinesiology is an incredibly nurturing modality that respects the clients journey first and foremost. Creating safety in the body is the first step to clearing the handbrakes and welcoming more flow on your path to igniting your truth! . 02.01.2022 Yesterday, I had the privilege of having a full Kinesiology session from this wonderful lady! (Yes I actually allowed it!!) . I don’t often get the chance to receive Kinesiology sessions, so this was a real treat! And I’m so grateful to have the luxury of accessing Melissa at the IK studio on Mondays. I’m certainly going to make the most of it! .
