25.01.2022 ***R-2 Science Incursion*** The R-2 Community participated in an incursion hosted by Alan for the Australian Museum of Childhood. He provided many hands-on opportunities for the students to investigate how different toys move. The students had so much fun and showed how they are able to solve problems. Well done R-2 Community.

25.01.2022 Sacrament of Reconciliation Six students took part in their First Reconciliation, showing commitment to building their Catholic faith. We are very proud of Riley, Lucas, Oliver, Noah, Samuel and Daniel for taking the next step in their faith journey.
24.01.2022 Pasta Fortnight Challenge. The 360 packets of pasta were collected by Sandra from St Vincent DePaul Hindmarsh in the last week of Term 2. She was blown away and grateful for the generosity of students and their families. What amazing leadership from our House Leaders who worked hard to organise this challenge.

22.01.2022 This term in science, 1/2H have been learning about Minibeasts and to extend their learning went on an excursion to the Urrbrae Wetland Centre. They learnt about the plants and creatures that live in wetland environments (birds, insects, amphibians, reptiles, animals) by looking for live specimens and evidence of their existence. They had a great time on the excursion. Thank you to our parent helpers too.

21.01.2022 ***Athletics Carnival*** What a fantastic day for many of our 3-6 students competing in the Catholic Schools Interschool Athletics Carnival. The smiles on the returning students faces said it all. These students loved competing against other schools and supporting one another in their different events on the day. We could not be prouder of our students. #ihmproud
19.01.2022 ***NAIDOC WEEK*** More celebrations of NAIDOC week from our 1/2H class who focused their learning on the traditional dreamtime story of ‘The Rainbow Serpent’. They shared lots of different retellings of the story and created a class Rainbow Serpent using their own indigenous artwork that together formed the shape of Australia . #alwayswasalwayswillbe
17.01.2022 ***R/1's Assembly*** What a beautiful assembly run by the R/1 Community. It was wonderful to see how brave these children were with speaking in front of an audience and their ability to share their learning with others. Great job R/1's.

16.01.2022 What an amazing effort at IHM. In only 14 days, students collected 360 packets of pasta to be donated to St Vincent DePaul Hindmarsh. We could not be prouder of all the students for this achievement and showing how they are people of Justice. What a fantastic initiative by our School House Leaders.
15.01.2022 ***NAIDOC WEEK*** As part of our focus at IHM for NAIDOC Week, the R/1's have created a beautiful display demonstrating their learning about the Acknowledgement of Country.
14.01.2022 *** IHM Book Fair*** This week at IHM we have our Book Fair held in the Resource Centre. Parents and family members are welcome in from 8.30-9.00 each morning and 3.00-3.30 in the afternoons. We have some fantastic books, posters and stationery available.
14.01.2022 Clever learners in the R/1 community have learnt about different places, mapping, plans and birds eye views. They made 2D plans of their bedrooms and then a 3D diorama. Look how proud and happy they are with their wonderful work!
14.01.2022 IHM was buzzing today with lots of future scientists! To celebrate National Science Week, IHM held a Super Scientists day were all classes were engaged in a variety of science experiments and activities that explored the theme, Deep Blue: innovation for the future of our oceans. It was an inspirational day filled with lots of questions, predictions, observations and fun! 11.01.2022 SRC Celebrations The SRCs from Semester One celebrated with a party for their hard work this semester. They did a fantastic job especially organising the fun filled Pyjama Day.

11.01.2022 The Carly Ryan Foundation spoke to students in 5/6 about the importance of Online Safety. Students were honest in their sharing about their experiences and learnt lots of valuable tips on keeping themselves safe online and respecting not only themselves but others. #carlyryanfoundation
10.01.2022 A special day honouring our schools tradition for the Feast of the Sacred Heart. Our wonderful house leaders Bianca, Anthony and Noah did an amazing job representing our school at OLSH.
10.01.2022 R/1s Assembly and Cooking The R/1s had a fabulous Week with a beautifully run assembly. The SRCs cooked soup for the Adelaide Day Centre for Homeless Persons. These R/1s are showing they are and will continue to be leaders of change in our world.
09.01.2022 Students from Green Hearts spent time in our Sensory Garden planting seedlings and shrubs to attract butterflies to our garden. We also set up our Worm Farms today thanks to our NRM Grant.
09.01.2022 A Reminder: This week we are celebrating Nude Food Week to support National Science Week with the theme Deep Blue. We are doing this to raise awareness about the impact of rubbish on the ocean ecology.

08.01.2022 Parents attended a Workshop focusing on supporting children with their Wellbeing and building Resilience which was run by Kay from Centacare. It was an opportunity for us all to hear some great insights, stories and strategies about how we can continue to support our children to be happy and resilient. 06.01.2022 The IHM Arcade was open for business today! The 3/4 class have worked collaboratively in small groups over a series of STEM lessons to design and create their own cardboard arcade games. The IHM Arcade will be open for business again next week for IHM students to play!

02.01.2022 ***Mayoral Make a Book Winner*** Congratulations to Ryleigh Robinson who was one of the winners of the Mayoral Make a Book Competition. There were over 500 entires and Ryleigh's story shared so many examples of how to build community with one another. We are so proud of you Ryleigh.
02.01.2022 The kids loved pyjama day today, we had lots of laughs, raised money for charity and noone fell asleep even in their cozies!
02.01.2022 R-2 Liturgy The R-2 community joined together for a Liturgy. The theme was Love and how we show love in our community. The students did exactly that, showing their love for others and themselves through their prayers, thoughts and actions throughout the Liturgy.

01.01.2022 Buddy Work Students in 1/2H and 5/6L have been focusing on Oceans in their learning. Today they worked together showing their group skills to create Origami Turtles, complete mindful oceanic drawings and create art pieces.
