As the Head of the Sanctioning Body I was really impressed with the Professional approach that Pat Driscoll, Greg Fitzgerald and Graham Pope displayed along with commitment, integrity and a can do attitude that... screamed we will get this done.. 09.01.2022 Ever wanted to work in Motorsport ? Now is your Opportunity ! IHRA Australia is looking for the right people to enhance our existing race day team at Willowbank Raceway. The people were looking for will be trained as IHRA Stewards to ensure the safe and fair running of our events.... You will need to bring the following skills with you : -Technically minded -Attention to detail -Able to think on your feet -Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills -Good problem solving skills -Equally comfortable working in a team environment or on your own -The ability to be firm but fair in your dealings with racers -Reasonable grasp of our racing classes -Good basic understanding of drag racing A reasonable level of fitness is also needed as you will be on your feet for reasonably long periods while you perform your duties. Positions are ideal for candidates living in the Ipswich region. Former racers, crew members and stewards are especially welcome to apply. For insurance purposes, we can only accept applications from those 18 or over. Interested or Know someone who might be ? 04.01.2022 Townsville Set to Burn Rubber with New Drag Racing Facility We have some Incredible News out of Townsville today from Pat Driscoll and Greg Fitzgerald - Drive It Board Members that they are on their way to the Facility for an Announcement about receiving $10 Million to fund the build of the Dragstrip in Townsville, Maurice Allen was given the news over the phone just a short while ago regarding the Announcement and the News is just what every Drag Racer needs to hear right ...about Now.. This is a great step forward for Drag racing in delivering a state of the art Full Concrete Quarter Mile Facility with all of the latest IHRA Australia upgrades to cater for all aspects of the sport. This news brings added excitement with the opportunity to bring the 4oo Thunder Championship Drag Racing Series to Townsville showcasing Australia's best Teams in both the Professional and Sportsman Ranks under IHRA Australia Sanctioning and the new Drive It Facility located just out of Townsville.
