21.01.2022 "I found the IH collegiate living experience to be quite unique. A diverse, welcoming, kind bunch where I could blend active social participation with some serious studying in whatever ratio I preferred. No fear of missing out! There is always something happening and there is always someone cranking out an assignment in the computer room. I love how involved residents are in maintaining their home as well!" - Harshil Trivedi, India

21.01.2022 "Never managing to belong anywhere seems like an often enough experienced feeling amongst those that could never really find a place to call home or accept a single culture that they felt embodied them in every which way. It has made me happier knowing that amongst this assortment of beautiful souls that habit these halls, there is so much we have in common. Any differences only go to show there is a fair bit I have to look forward to understanding. We may have varied aspira...tions for the future but can live, in this melee of internationalism, in a peaceful present. In fact, there is a grim comic value in being able to appreciate how singularly lost we'd be without these very people around us. In our less than subtle attempts to try and fit into some semblance of everyday rationality, I do appreciate the unifying diversity we share in our little community. The dream will be to cherish the best in us, learn from it and keep it in mind in all our endeavours across the world" Eric, India/UAE

16.01.2022 "There's just something so special about sharing meal times and the same roof over your head. Everyone is so welcoming, kind, and unique. Many of my favorite moments were simply chilled nights playing pool or cooking in the kitchens and getting to know one another. I've made dozens of priceless memories and lifelong friends and I am so happy that I decided to join the IH family." - Tylee Milan, The University of Texas at Austin, USA.

08.01.2022 One word to describe my exchange program to University of New South Wales (UNSW) is just fantastic. This experience has broadened my horizon to a brand new lev...el. The university offers a wide range of courses which is very flexible for exchange students to take. The first time I came here, I thought I wouldn't be busy because I only had to take 4 courses within a semester while normally I take at least 9-10 courses per semester back in my home university. But, the workload turned out to be quite demanding and very time-consuming. I took majority of finance courses in UNSW as electives to broaden my technical skills. Although the courses are quite heavy, I have really gained extensive knowledge and understanding of finance. On my exchange, Ive always wanted to make as many friends as possible. In Australia, they have a very diverse nationalities and many International students. This allows me to understand more about both Australian and other cultures at the same time. The university also offers many students activities that enable you to get to know more people. And the most exciting part is when I explored many wonderful sites in Australia together with my new friends. If you are someone who wants to travel around while pursuing degree, Australia is definitely a country to be on your pick-list. Im really thankful to have experienced this wonderful exchange opportunity. My exchange program has helped me to become more independent and mature. I truly enjoyed my stay there and I will never forget this experience in my life! #FlyingChalks #FCStories Jeffrey Fonda, from Tamkang University (Taiwan), currently on exchange at University of New South Wales (Australia)

07.01.2022 "IH is a really nice place. At every meal you have the chance to speak to people with different cultures from all over the world, before you decide to sit on a table with the same 10 guys you already know. You can definitely make friends for a life time, and if not theres always the hope that next semester cooler people are joining the community. Finally, I want to add some inspirational quotes: My head's in the game, but my heart's in the song. - Troy Bolton #14 Swag, S...wag, Swag Justin Bieber Everything has an end, only the sausage has two. German Saying But anyway, never forget: Were all in this together. TB #14" Raphael, Austria
07.01.2022 "Why I love IH... IH proves that diversity works. We are all very different people which gives us the freedom to truly be ourselves because there is no majority to conform to. Ever since I came to IH, I felt more and more like myself. IH will always have a soft spot in my heart and its the closest thing I have to home." - Helen, Australia
06.01.2022 Living in IH I got the opportunity to meet people from all over the world, many of whom accompanied me in exploring this fantastic country. This also includes our Australian residents, who taught us simple customs of Australian life: eating Vegemite, strayan slang and of course the importance of 50+ sunscreen. Life in IH was far beyond what I had imagined, with the best thing being the friendships and memories that I will keep in my heart forever. - Laura, Denmark

05.01.2022 "Moving to Australia was a huge step for me, I was nervous about being so far away from everything. Living in IH is honestly the best thing that could have happened to me. There are awesome facilities like pianos, a ping pong table and a gym. More importantly though, I have never been surrounded by so many incredibly smart, compassionate and respectful people. Residents are from all walks of life; different ages, degrees, cultures, and religions. All of this amounts to an incredible college experience" - Jaap van Beek, Netherlands/France

03.01.2022 "If studying in UNSW is like a marathon, then IH is the best place that you can slow down your pace and refuel. Every week, you can easily find some activities that you feel like joining. It could be sports, movies, games and even just chatting with IH people. Every day, you can randomly make new friends at dining hall, reading room and even gym. You definitely will find your own kind and share lots of things in common with them. Last but not least, we all have to adapt to the new environment when we start our uni journey, but I can assure you no place would be like IH where make your study life full of happiness and excitement." - Xinyun Hu, China
02.01.2022 Last night our residents celebrated a camping-themed event at IH's courtyard. Organised by our Ground Floor Reps, they really set the bar high this year!
