01.01.2022 Morning Everyone, If you haven’t heard already the Eyre Highway and Great Central Road has CLOSED. The Eyre Highway and the border with SA has CLOSED. No EAST/WEST traffic. Due to possible deterioration of weather conditions and fire behaviour, this fire started 20 December. There is currently many travellers stuck in small towns in SA waiting to cross the border. Today DFES, Police, Ambos are escorting travellers that have been struck on the Nullabor for days through to Espe...rance Please share this information within your networks that the Eyre Highway is CLOSED indefinitely. At least seven days, possibly longer. This may mean mail and other deliveries maybe disrupted. The only road freight route to Perth is Adelaide to Katherine to Halls Creek. Cyclone Blake has now formed off the Kimberly coast also . A heavy dump of rain is expected over the next few days in the Kimberly and Pilbara. Be Prepared for shortages. Keep up to date with main roads travel maps website. Hopefully this will not effect your deliveries but we apologise in advance if it does. Unfortunately it is beyond our control.
