19.01.2022 Despite the uncertainty of this year, we had an excellent karate year (once restrictions were lifted) which ended at a peak with the black belt gradings in October, the Queensland State Championships last weekend and our breakup party today. We enjoyed sharing this day today with our amazing karate family. Thank you everyone for your hard work and constant support! And again a big congrats to our award winners: Elle, Rhys and Gwen. Keep up the great effort and good work!

17.01.2022 It is great to see how far the renovations have come so far! Although these renovations are still taking place, we will be resuming training on Monday the 19th of April at 3.30pm. The major renovations are complete and looking wonderful. A special thanks to Terry and Mark for your hard work. Looking forward to seeing all of our members on Monday! New members are always welcome.

16.01.2022 We received our coach cards, just in time for the State Championships. Many thanks to Pam Smith, the coaching director of the Australian Karate Federation, for supporting all of the coaches and karate athletes around Australia and for helping us through this process.

06.01.2022 Finally we had our Queensland State Championships 2020 in Brisbane after it was postponed from March due the COVID 19. Congratulations and very well done to our four IKD Karate Australia members, who represented IKD Australia: Jethro (Bronze in Kumite), Delara (Bronze in Kata & Silver in Kumite), Dustin (Silver in Kata & Silver in Kumite) & Daria (2 x Gold in Kumite and Bronze in Kata).... Well deserved, I am very proud of you all!

02.01.2022 As you would have seen on the news today greater Brisbane into a three day lockdown commencing 5 pm today in a practical sense for our Karate club this means that during the lockdown period: - Community Sport and Fitness (IKD KARATE AUSTRALIA) is not permitted. The three day lockdown will begin on 29 March 5 pm until Thursday, 1 April 5 pm. Everyone is advised to carry a face mask at all times which must be worn in indoor spaces it is strongly recommended that you also wear a mask when outdoors if you’re unable to stay more than 1.5 m distance from other people.
