25.01.2022 Its a special day for Paul & I today. Were about to enjoy our very last Sunday afternoon spa ritual in our Blue Mountains bathroom! . Weve lived in this house for 24 years, renovating it over time and turning it into our sanctuary. Its been a home that has been filled with love and joy, and so many wonderful memories. But now we are moving!... . This year has inspired change for so many of us, and weve decided its time to recreate and explore our next chapter of life in a new (warmer!) location. After hosting the retreat at Killcare at the start of the year I felt such a connection to the coastal area. With the national park there it feels like the Blue Mountains by the sea. We had an indigenous elder welcome our group with a sacred ceremony, and he shared stories of the area that made me realise what a special energy the land has there. Only eight weeks ago we decided to investigate our options, and since then the universe opened one door after another- we found a house, our home sold in one week, and on Friday we move! . iKOU will still be based in the Blue Mountains, this is its forever home, but you can now expect to see more iKOU retreats by the sea in the future- the best of both worlds! . Change brings renewed energy and inspiration, and while Im sentimental and tend to stay in my comfort zone, Im excited to explore a new chapter. . So this afternoon we are enjoying one last, special spa ritual with champagne to celebrate what a wonderful chapter this has been. The candles are lit, Im warming deep conditioner, and our body scrub of choice is lemon myrtle for new beginnings.
