24.01.2022 All set up ready to go tomorrow at 1pm. 96 Poll Dorset rams, paddock reared, lambplan figures up to 226 carcase + and LEQ figures up to 156. Just need a new home.

22.01.2022 We got our DNA test results back. 2 ILFRACOMBE rams came back with positive IMF, so what you say ? Only 10, 2016 drop, pure Poll Dorset rams have positive IMF and we have 2 of them. One is ranked number 2 in Australia and both are over 200 on Carcase plus. They also have very different pedigrees to most others making them very valuable rams. They will be used for the 2018 drop and beyond. By the way our on property sale is Monday 2nd October at 1pm, 990 Jeffcott Road Donald Victoria. 100 rams with many related to our 2 keepers.

19.01.2022 Sale day over for another year. Sold all 95 @ $883 average. A great result for such a tough year. Thanks to all the buyers, agents, family and friends for making it such a great day.

16.01.2022 Hi all, as an extra service this year because of COVID restriction changes on sale day we are having an open day the week prior, on Saturday 19th for ram inspec...tions. All sale rams will be penned in groups of 15, under cover, out of the rain (we hope) so you can browse at your leisure and see the rams walking around a bit more naturally than stuck in a little pen. 15.01.2022 Inspection day about to start. 99 rams penned, average weight 120kg, with no supplementary feeding, average TCP index 146 which is 11 points above breed average. Ram sale Monday 28th September.

13.01.2022 Remember this Ram from the Wimmera/Mallee Championships at Speed last year ? DNA and Lambplan figures are done and he has come back ranked Number 3 in Australia for Eating Quality with an LEQ index of 162 and a carcase plus figure of 224. An elite ram who will be kept for our own stud use. Plenty of his brothers will be available in our on property sale Monday 1st October.

08.01.2022 Weaned our second lot of lambs today and found this 71kg Thumper, tag 208, born 2nd May and is a twin, she was 50kg as well !! Good job Mum. Lambs are Sired by Ilfracombe 108/16 an exceptional eating quality ram and Mum is sired by another Ilfracombe ram 172/15. DNA taken for testing. Stay tuned.

07.01.2022 Here we go again. So look who showed up overnight !! 141 day gestation, ewe lamb sired by Hillcroft Farms 156/13 out of a ewe bought from the Leenala dispersal sale. 3.7kg all well. Stay away foxes !

04.01.2022 Wimmera Mallee Reserve Champion Poll Dorset Lamb today at the Speed Field Days. 52/17 sired by Marocara 49/15, the highest ranking Meat Eating Quality ram in Australia, let's hope his son follows the trend. DNA test to follow.

02.01.2022 Last stud ewe for Autumn lambed today, 310 live ones marked, tagged and weighed. Foxes got 20 odd and only a couple born dead. Bit of a wait now until 100 ish Spring drops arrive in late July.
