17.01.2022 Gorgeous walk from Pulpit Rock to Popes Glen and Blackheath today. Weather doesnt quite know what it wants to be these days but it was perfect walking weather in the end. We met some walkers who had no idea how far the round trip from govetts leap to Pulpit Rock would be and we ended up having to drive them from Pulpit Rock to Blackheath as they were exhausted! Moral of the story: Always check the weather and the distance you are going and start easy if you are not sure of your abilities!

12.01.2022 They say we are in for a wet summer, but we have more than enough fun rainy day activities to do at Illalangi Boutique Cottage to keep us from getting bored! Our favorites (after doing lots of drawing - get supplies and/or colouring in books at Gleebooks Blackheath, and hours of family games and puzzles - theres a cabinet full in the sunroom) are a few local gems: We love visiting The Lolly Bug before heading over to Mount Vic Flicks for a movie! We can spend hours looking ...for gems at the Victory Theatre Antique Centre & Cafe or just eat cake and drink coffee/hot chocolates all day long. Anonymous and Blackheath General Store & Cafe are our absolute favorites! Love knitting? Then The House of Wool is a must! Take the kids and visit the treasures that can only be found at The Lotus Temple in Blackheath. Jenolan Caves is also a fantastic 1-day outing when the weather is grim. Besides, there is nothing more refreshing than a bush walk in the rain! Just remember to pack your rain gear and good shoes See more
