22.01.2022 Some of our ecology team recently witnessed thousands of budgies doing what we call Murmation. This phenomena comes about by individuals following and mimicking... the birds around them. This large flock was feeding on seeding grasses along the Silver City Highway between Broken Hill and Coombah Roadhouse. 10.01.2022 Parrot Imports - CCBFA Submission Attached is our CCBFA submission in response to the "Draft import risk review for psittacine birds from all countries" - https...://www.agriculture.gov.au//risk-anal/memos/ba2020-a04 The general nature of this submission was described and discussed at the September CCBFA meeting. Thanks to all who provided input. The submission is also on our website https://www.ccbfa.org.au/ under the documents tab. I also shared the submission widely from our Facebook page https://www.facebook.com/CCBFA Apologies to clubs who may have been directed to the submission via other means. It was my oversight to post publicly on Facebook prior to emailing clubs directly. If it's an excuse, yesterday was a big family do celebrating my daughter's birthday soon after her 2 week quarantine after returning from 2 years in the UK.
