17.01.2022 Introducing the Pug Trio ...Eddie Penny and Sophie. They are all about 7 to 8 years of age and our regular visitors to Rehab at Figtree which we love. Sophie and Eddie come in for Rehab after patella surgery and need to build strength. Sophie is the black pug and Eddie is the fawn pug pictured on his own.... They all come in together and stay for the day. Staying together decreases their anxiety. Some days they even get a bath and cuddle. They keep each other happy. A beautiful little Pug family.

13.01.2022 Gentle love goes a long way. This is Suzie with Rehab Nurse Emmalene Susie is a 5 year old Fox Terrier with a carpus injury. The carpus is like our human wrist. On a dog the carpus take a big percentage of the dog’s. Susie has recovered very well after a few weeks of treatments, hydrotherapy and lots of love and encouragement. #illawarraanimalrehabilitation#foxterrier#wollongongdogs#illawarradogs

12.01.2022 CASE STUDY Let us introduce Shadow. She is a beautiful 10 year old Border Collie who has been coming to Illawarra Animal Rehabilitation since her first TPLO (Tibial Plateau Leveling Osteotomy) in early May. ... TPLO surgery is the 'gold standard' surgery and was completed on her left leg due to a cruciate ligament rupture and disease, by IAH surgeons Dr Paul and Dr Daniel. They are our in house surgeons, so you do not need to communicate or travel to another surgery hospital. For more information about TPLO surgery please visit www.iahvet.com.au/surgery/ and scroll down. Shadow then attended rehab for 6 weeks, which included exercises, massage, laser and then progressing to the underwater treadmill. Again the rehab services are done in house at our Figtree location, with communication between the Vets and Rehab Nurses to provide the best outcomes. In early August, Shadow returned to have her right side TPLO surgery. She is now doing really well, just 3 weeks into her 6 week treatment plan and getting her cheeky personality back. Shadow has done extremely well along with the help of her owners. Well done Shadow. 2020 has been a big year for you.
