One hour sessions are held on Monday evenings from 8/2/2021 to 29/3/2021 (8 weeks). Each group will be allotted a start time between 4:30pm-7:00pm. 4-6 players per group with 2 coaches. RBI will endeavour to organise scrimmage games and tournament teams dependant on numbers. 06.01.2022 4th Grade in progress....... 5th and final Grand Final of the IBL and Top of the second has Cards on top of the undefeated Blackbirds, 2-0. As I type Cards have driven in another 1 and have 2 on base with 1out so lead 3-0 in the 2nd innings. Tune in from 1:30pm if you want some more Baseball Action from two quality hitting sides.

02.01.2022 Well Season 2021 has commenced with Round 1 last weekend, so today we kick off our first round of Player Profiles for the Baseball Illawarra Season ahead. Corey Rower Corey Rower, Northern Pirates, Pitcher/Utility Player. Last weekend, in The Pirates opening round defeat of 2020 Champions, the Eagles, Not only did Corey hit 3 Singles, but in the field he started at third base, moved to Centre field then closed the game out with 3 innings and 65 Pitches which included 4 Strike... Outs. Corey comes from a blended family of Baseball talent, every single member of their family of 10 has some form of input to Baseball Illawarra either past or present, It seemed inevitable that one day, him and two of his family members would all take the diamond as starters in the top grade for the Northern Pirates. This week we asked Corey a few questions about his Baseball to date. Nickname? Corza How did you get the Nickname? Corza, has been my nickname since as long as I can remember, it’s just one of those nicknames that’s stuck for life. What is your childhood clubs & what position did you play most as a teen? As a junior I played for Bulli Pirates in the Illawarra Baseball League and MacArthur Colts in state cup. I played most positions but mainly pitcher and middle infield. What do you enjoy doing outside of baseball? I enjoy surfing, cricket, basketball and hanging at the beach with mates. What do you do as a day job? I work in nursing at an aged care facility. Who do you go for in the MLB? I go for the Cincinnati reds and my favourite player is Joey Votto. What do you love most about Baseball? I love everything about baseball, It doesn’t matter if I’m playing or watching I just can’t get enough of it. What do you like most about playing for Baseball Illawarra? Playing my favourite sport with and against a bunch of mates that I’ve known for a majority of my life. The competition is also a good mixture of fun and competitiveness. Any interesting fact that your teammates may not know about you? That I’m actually a better 1st baseman than Peter Faulks.
