Lots of times unexpected things happen and although my role is to doc...ument what's happening, it's also to hold space for Mum and her partner. This isn't my story to tell so I asked Natalie to give it to me in her words. "My beautiful Eli, It wasn't easy bringing you into the world. It was tiresome, painful and scary. There were moments I was so scared I wouldn't even get to meet you at all! The moment they lay you on my chest I felt so much love, relief and happiness that you were here safe in my arms. You only gave a little cry and even now you don't like to make much of a fuss. You are such a sweet happy baby. You bring so much happiness and love into all of our lives. Eamon, your big brother, absolutely adores you and relishes being in your company. Your Daddy loves you and you give him such beautiful smiles. And I love you with all my heart and have loved you from the moment you were growing inside my tummy. I wish I could hold you in my arms forever sweet Eli but I know one day you will be a grown man with a family of your own. So I will cherish every moment with you. I will take in your sweet smell, the feeling of your soft skin, the warmth of your beautiful gummy smile. You will always be my baby and I will always love you.
