18.01.2022 Keller is a deaf and vision impaired double merle Australian shepherd. She was going to be shot at 5 weeks old by the breeder because a dog with special needs i...sn't very valuable. Since being rescued, we have set out to educate the public on merle to merle breeding (the reason that Keller is deaf and vision impaired) as well as to advocate for special needs dogs. We live our life by the motto; disabilties are only what you make them. Keller may be deaf and vision impaired, but you'd never know it. She doesn't know she is different and lives her life to the fullest. This is a video of her doing some different commands/tricks. We communicate through hand signals and touch cues. Keller knows around 40 different signs and we're constantly working on more. We love to show people that any dog can learn, you just might have to work a little differently with them. Training is a great way to strengthen the bond with your dog and work their brain! Enjoy! Please share and help spread our story!

Kevin cannot stay with his current carer as she is relocating to regional Victoria and will need to be travelling frequently over the next few months. We are planning on moving him to NSW as there just doesn't seem to be any interest for him in Victoria so if you are interested in adopting or fostering him please PM us.
