06.01.2022 Medicare Better Access: An additional 10 sessions have been announced for people who have already used their 10 sessions through their Mental Health Treatment Plan, and who are: subject to public health orders restricting their movement within a state or territory issued at any time from 1 July 2020 to 31 March 2021 required to isolate or quarantine under public health orders... This measure will commence on Friday 7 August and will be available until 31 March 2021. Please note that you will need to see your GP for a review BEFORE commencing the additional sessions.

06.01.2022 Many years ago as I started my healing journey I wrote on a piece of paper you are your own best mother. It was on my refrigerator. A reminder that it was now... an opportunity (+ responsibility) to practice meeting my own needs, honoring my limits, + unlearn the core beliefs about myself that I had inherited. Reparenting is a spiritual journey. Its a commitment to the highest acts of self love. Most of us have been conditioned in homes were self betrayal, lack of boundaries, + chronic codependency was our normal. As we heal, we can begin to unlearn these normal behaviors (its important to understand that just because something is normal, or socially accepted doesnt mean its serving us.) It also doesnt mean that we need continue to betray ourselves because we witness most people in our lives doing the same. We CAN heal. We can reparent ourselves + unlearn the patterns that create our suffering. We can become conscious to our learned coping mechanisms + speak to ourselves as the wise inner parent many of us didnt have. Who else is on this journey with me? #selfhealers

05.01.2022 Growing up, I unconsciously knew that achievement was the way for me to be seen. I learned (indirectly) to put everyone before myself + my own needs. I didnt e...ven know what my needs were. Sometimes, I still dont. My conditioning was based around the model of self-sacrifice. This made you a good + selfless. As I became more conscious, I saw a clear pattern. The lack of boundaries. The resentment. The high reactivity + lack of self care. I thought this was just how adults lived: burnt out + overwhelmed. It wasnt until I started placing my own boundaries + committing to my own self care that (with time) I saw a major shift at how I showed up in the world. I saw just how much of my own stress was self-inflicted. From the overly busy role I filled. To the dependable one who was never bothered. Self betrayal was my norm. It was what I had learned + all I knew. Theres nothing bad or wrong with self betrayal its learned. Its a coping mechanism from being raised within codependency. When we believe our worth comes through other people, + that we are responsible for the emotion states of those around us. Becoming aware of self betrayal allows us to then begin the practice of setting boundaries. Of honoring our time, energy, + needs. Our inner child is healing in the process #selfhealers
