24.01.2022 Sunday 3rd December 2018 IRSA Service Rifle Club Championship. 13 eager competitors turned up for an exciting day of Service Rifle competition at Hilltop. The weather was fine, and the temperature was a very comfortable 25 DegC. The wind was very strong and blustery from the West at about 20km/h, which made for a challenging shoot.... Scores were close with Cam on 25 out of 30. Jim and Ben had a shoot off for 2nd and 3rd with 24 apiece. Jim being the victor. Sabrina and Ned came equal 4th with 23. See more

13.01.2022 Canberra Rifle Club Armistice Day shoot 11-11-2018 It was an honour and privilege for the Illawarra Regional Shooting Association to compete in the 100th year commemorative Armistice Day shoot held by the Canberra Rifle Club. For me personally it was extra special, as I got to compete with my 15-year-old daughter Sabrina. A shoot that commemorates the end of World War 1, the brave soldiers and the mighty Lee Enfield No1Mk111 .303 Rifle.... This year’s turn out was the biggest ever with 44 competitors and their SMLE’s. After a very respectful remembrance ceremony at eleven o’clock the competition commenced. 1st was the 300yrd Deliberate 10 Rounds 2nd was the 200yrd Snap 10 Rounds 3rd was the 200yrd Rapid 10 Rounds It was a perfectly run competition and credit goes to the RO’s and volunteers on the day. Our close friend Ian from SSAA Mudgee managed 1st place with 127.6 Gordon from IRSA managed 2nd place with 122.2 Ben from IRSA managed 3rd place with 122.0 Cameron from IRSA managed 4th place with 114.3 Sabrina from IRSA managed 15th place with 86.1, not bad for a 15-year-old. Laif from IRSA managed 23rd place with 67.1 (due to heap of S&B case head separations). Steve our new shooter managed 28th place with 51, (well done Steve). We look forward to competing again next year. See more
