25.01.2022 Early morning laser for the Saint Man

24.01.2022 A simple technique to help relax the muscles supporting the shoulder.

24.01.2022 Not all our patients have this much style or charisma. Meet the lovely Kiss, she is a poodle who is full of beans and has a flair for fashion. Today Kiss is wearing laser goggles by @IllawarraVeterinaryRehabilitation and her fancy groom is by @PerkyPoochesGroomingSalon . Our team will be treating Kiss for a sore knee with pain management and therapeutic exercise to strengthen the muscles supporting the joint. We want to keep this little show girl in top condition.

22.01.2022 Another of our lovely patients enjoying the services of @waterwalkies. Looking good.

19.01.2022 Josie gets impatient waiting for her appointments! As soon as I park the car, the singing begins.

14.01.2022 Happy International Dog Day Post a photo of your doggy in the comments and tell us what you love most about them

08.01.2022 Do you and your best mate love the game of fetch? Is the game getting shorter as you both get older? Have you noticed your fur friend limping or stiff and sore after the game ends? Fetch is doing more than just burning unwanted energy and it can take its toll at any stage of life for your beloved dog. At Illawarra Veterinary Rehabilitation the ball chasing conversation comes up often as we see many dogs injured, recovering from surgery or with age related arthritis that still want to play. Our certified rehab team are here to guide you through your dogs recovery. We take a holistic approach to your dogs wellbeing and have lots of great alternative exercise ideas both you and your dog will love. After all, the main goal of pain management and recovery is returning to the things you both love doing, in a safe and sensible way.

08.01.2022 Lets face it, if the humans around you didnt actually say it hurts would you know? Animals are even better at hiding the signs of pain. Lets learn to recognise the non-verbal ways they tell us it hurts.

05.01.2022 Rehab is better with a friend. Today we want to celebrate the friends who make a rehab visit to Illawarra Veterinary Rehabilitation fun. Our happy patients have made friends through our social groups, live with friends or have a best softie that they like to bring along. As our dogs age and during injury recovery they can become isolated from other dogs. IVR believe socialisation and canine friendships are so important during these life stages.

02.01.2022 We are so proud of Valkyrie and her progress. Watch how the combined efforts of Cannon & Ball Veterinary Cinic, Veterinary Specialists of Sydney, Illawarra Veterinary Rehabilitation and Water Walkies Hydrotherapy got her back on her feet enjoying life within 5 weeks of major surgery.

01.01.2022 Sassy little Pepperoni came to us several months after his second spinal surgery. He was still having trouble getting back on his feet. We are so proud of the work he and his family have put in to his rehabilitation. Watch his progress here.
