15.01.2022 We were recently invited to sit down and talk to Karni Liddell about lifelong, inclusive learning as a part of Disability Action Week. In 2020, Disability Action Week is being celebrated in Queensland from 13 to 19 September. This year’s theme ‘Access-ability making things better for everyone’ highlights the benefits of improved accessibility, not only for people with disability but also for the whole community... and this includes education! Listen to Rachel Carr as she sp...eaks with Karni and shares her insights from her experiences from her family life and her work in the disability and education sectors. She explores accessibility and inclusion in education beyond the obvious things like the physical environment, to ensuring students with disability can access learning in the same way as their peers in the way that works for them.
