22.01.2022 I asked 2 x CEO's this week to define the meaning of "The Ripple Effect". It proved to be a difficult question for them. In short, one persons actions can have a very positive or a very negative effect on those around them You can change a great day into a bad day or do the opposite, all by the way you conduct yourself and control your behavior towards a situation. Sometimes a person needs to walk away, get themselves under control and then come back to the situation at hand.... Deal with it in a rational manner and not make what can be bad decisions Here is the definition for you. The Ripple Effect is based on the understanding that we are all connected. These connections stretch like an incredibly interwoven and complicated tapestry. Each of us exists within this tapestry. 21.01.2022 Do your staff actually know what you do ? It's interesting that one of the key frustrations I have found with many staff within an organisation is that they really are not that certain what the Boss actually does, other than tell others what to do. Therefore RESPECT is not in place. Maybe you turn up early and stay late - So What !!! It's important to recognise in 2021 that people are very interested and they do ask more questions about the leaders they work under. 16.01.2022 Illuminate Coaching and Training have had the pleasure of training people from multiple industry groups so far this year. Yesterday we completed another 3 x day Project Management course and among the trainee's were managers from Qantas & Rex Air. Now that was an interesting dynamic and a whole lot of fun. The diversity on a public course is amazing and without a doubt the collaboration between all is paramount. 05.01.2022 Anyone who is looking for work right now will have discovered the utter BS out in the market. You find yourself wondering whether to apply or not. Can you take another Nil response to a role you are highly qualified for. Do you need to see yet another auto rejection email that offers no reason as to why you are not suitable. On the rare interview you get, do you really have it within you to remain positive and polite, when the people interviewing you have very little substanc...e and a great deal of ego. My advice - stop applying every day. Give yourself a break a few days each week. Create one or two days each week where you commit to job seeking. Hope is an amazing thing and you will at some point land your new role. Stay strong. See more
