08.01.2022 The Barb Martin BushBank Native Plant Nursery has established itself as an integral part of Phillip Island. Propagating indigenous plant species from locally sourced seed and cuttings for revegetation projects across the island and selling to the public to encourage home owners to boost their gardens with plant species beneficial to the local environment. However the nursery is far more than that to many members of the community that dedicate their time to volunteering in thi...s space. Unfortunately the current pandemic situation means the nursery is closed to the public temporarily and volunteers are missing their regular gatherings but let this be a reminder of how positively powerful small communities can be when we support each other. It’s an absolute pleasure to have my illustrations featured on new signage throughout the nurseries display gardens!
