25.01.2022 Kitchen cabinet makeover. Like to have that new kitchen feel but don't have the budget for a whole kitchen reno? These customers chose to have all the woodwork of their kitchen painted. We sanded everything back, applied an undercoat and two semi gloss top coats to create that beautiful and durable sheen. After that we replaced all the hardware to complete the new modern look of the kitchen. Swipe through the pictures to see before and after results. 22.01.2022 This lovely customer had her 2 bedroom unit repainted only 9 months ago. When we came in, paint was flaking of door and window frames. The walls and ceilings did not have enough layers of paint applied which created a bleed through, where the old paint is still visible. Nor was proper preparation done. This resulted in the walls and ceilings not having a smooth even finish. Hardly any of the walls were lined off properly which created crooked lines with the white and colour f...eature walls. None of the dents, blemishes and impurities on walls, cornices, skirting boards and ceilings were evened out. At Illustrious we mask of our surfaces to prevent paint marks on window rails, tiles, etc. and to create a perfect straight line. We also use Festool sanders with vacuums to smooth out all surfaces and to avoid dust flying through the rooms ending up on walls, flooring and airways. We made sure that this customer does not need to worry about her paint job for a long time. A smooth, clean finish and nice straight lines. 04.01.2022 The first thing you think of when I say renovation is probably dust and clutter. After a hard day of work the last thing you want to come home to is a dirty house. At Illustrious Painting and Decorating we pride ourselves in minimising dust and to leave our workplace clean and tidy. We use the best tools out there to make sure you don't have to worry about cleaning up after us.... As we provide quality work which includes a proper preparation, this can create a lot of dust. Our Festool sanding machines have a vacuum with dust extraction attached so we clean up as we do our job. No dust, no use of your personal vacuum and no mess. At the end of each job we tidy up and vacuum all our work areas. We believe that a quality paint job can't be achieved in a dusty or dirty environment. These create impurities and a rough surface. Nor can the perfect adhesion of the new paint happen if surfaces aren't properly sanded before painting. All of our customers have been raving about our cleanliness and precision.
