25.01.2022 Pure white, silky skin indulgence... https://iloorganics.com/shop/cami-soap-single-135g

25.01.2022 Obtaining stock of various items in recent months has been trying to say the least. We're getting down to the last lids for our essential oils, so our held stock of our EO blends will start to disappear. Can't put a lid on it...can't supply it! Our newest blend, 'synergi', remains popular.

25.01.2022 Wonderful to see market regular, Tania, being acknowledged for her dedication to & passion for her job!

24.01.2022 Our organic 'soothi' essential oil blend was intended to be discontinued, but suddenly it's become a popular item, assisting with stress relief. We'll continue for now with the 'soothi+' roll-on, & review the line next year.https://iloorganics.com/shop/soothi-essential-oil-blend

24.01.2022 The resultant colour of organic 'avi' soap can vary from a slightly green-tinged white, to a distinctive green- depending on the organic avocado oil source & the time of the year it was processed. https://iloorganics.com/shop/avi-soap-single-135g

23.01.2022 I realised yesterday on opening up the soap lab, that I've lost one of my delights in my days...being hit by the uniquely, refreshing fragrance of organic extra virgin olive oil each morning. It was lost a few years back, when I started selling organic essential oil blends. Now I'm hit with the combined fragrances of the myriad of EO's used- delightful...but I do miss that simple olive oil pungency!

23.01.2022 We make our soaps with quality cold-pressed, organic plant oils- keeping the ingredients to a minimum, to avoid potential allergens. We carefully select the oils to avoid any that are nut derived- quite a surprising number technically are. The soaps are then handmade using the traditional cold-process method- minimising exposure to heat, so that the natural beneficial qualities of the plant oils are retained. We also 'super-fat' our soaps- meaning that we calculate a small percentage of the oils to not be converted into solid soap salts, but instead are freely retained within the soap. This adds to the natural moisturising properties of the soap, applying a fine layer of oil to the skin with each use.

22.01.2022 Reflection time- top sellers yesterday? Hands down, 'honi' in the soap department...followed by 'hemi'. Essential oil blends were evenly placed- a bit of everything, but 'maxi' roll-on to assist with headaches/muscular pain starred. Hmm, the strains of working from home?

22.01.2022 At this stage, we'll be at Northey St Organic Farmers Market in Windsor on Sunday, 6-11AM. Rain is indicated around the middle of the day, so we'll be keeping a close eye on that progression...it could move away. There is nothing worse than packing down in the rain!

21.01.2022 An interesting day yesterday. For the first time in 8 months, we saw the return of many of our older, long-term market customers...the community toll of 2020. It was fantastic to catch up with them, on the year gone by. Because we'd missed 2 markets, sales were spread fairly evenly across all of our products, in both soap & essential oils. However, 'honi' soap was the stand-out seller. With depleted stock of 'ozi', a customer chose to buy our tester bottle. A big thank you to everyone...we're grateful always!

20.01.2022 No market this Sunday- apologies.

19.01.2022 The surprising fact about our customers, is that they are predominantly male- both for soaps & essential oils...in person & online.

17.01.2022 Often overlooked, our unique blend of Australian native essential oils captures the spirit of our environment. A customer who buys our 'sampli' pack, to have the whole range on hand, recently said that 'ozi' is her favourite because it takes her back to her younger days, riding her horse through the bush in the mornings. 'ozi' combines lemon myrtle, peppermint gum, rosalina & Australian blue cypress to create a fresh & crisp, uplifting aroma- 15mL/$27.

17.01.2022 One of our first soaps, 'vari' combines organic extra virgin coconut oil & olive oil to create a balanced soap with a fluffy lather. It's been a consistent favourite with many customers over the years. It's also available in our 'indi' sizing- perfect for the handbasin & travel. https://iloorganics.com/shop/vari-soap-single-135g

16.01.2022 Market Sunday ahead...Northey St Organic Farmers Market in Windsor, 6-11AM. We'll be kicking Father's Day off with an organic pizza with hot salami, eggplant, truffles & parmesan for breakfast with an organic coffee & hot raspberry jam donut from our neighbouring stall-holders...how about you? Hope to see you there!

16.01.2022 It remains an incredibly popular blend, with its sensual aroma... https://iloorganics.com/shop/calmi-essential-oil-blend

15.01.2022 Post-market feedback. Soap top-seller: avi...don't know why it was the fad of the day EO top-seller: ozi, followed by anxi+ & relaxi+ roll-ons Never any rhyme nor reason to any of it- it is, what it is!

15.01.2022 Reminder: There is no waste with our organic soaps. Simply wet & firmly press your slither of old soap to a new cake, & allow to dry. The high natural glycerine content allows both to meld all, with the exception of our 'salti' soap- the high salt content forms a brittle slither.

14.01.2022 We took time out yesterday because it was my birthday...& I thoroughly enjoyed every moment of my day! Sometimes you realise that life is too short, & the need to embrace every moment with those whom you love. The calendar is quickly advancing- where has this year gone! Time to focus on increasing our soap stock levels, to cater for Xmas demand. YIKES...planning Xmas gift packs already!

14.01.2022 Looking forward to catching up with everyone at Northey St Organic Farmers Market in Windsor, this Sunday 6-11AM. Hope to see you there!

14.01.2022 Time out from the market, for visiting interstate family...a year later.

13.01.2022 Why are our organic soaps so moisturising? If you look at a cold process soap formula, the combination of a plant oil & caustic soda results in 25% glycerine & 75% soap salt. The caustic soda is rendered completely inert during the conversion. Glycerine is incredibly moisturising- it's the clear, sticky substance that surfaces on our soaps. Glycerine attracts moisture from the surrounding environment. There are days when the humidity is high, that we cannot pick up our soaps to package them. Our soaps are further enhanced by super-fatting our recipes, so that 5% of the plant oils remain freely suspended within the soap.

11.01.2022 Heading off to Northey St Organic Farmers Market in Windsor on Sunday, 6-11 AM. We'll have our new 'franki+' roll-on, 10mL/$15- a 50% suspension of organic frankincense in camellia seed oil. Looking forward to catching up with everyone.

09.01.2022 Sunday. Northey St Organic Farmers Market, Windsor, 6-11AM. Hope to see you there! Oddly enough, there were 2 women with roller-skates draped over their shoulders last week...

08.01.2022 Opinions...we all make our own decisions based on knowledge. Nearly every week, I'll refuse to sell an essential oil blend roll-on to someone because they'll say that they want to use it on a baby or toddler. In my opinion, EO's should never be used on any child under the age of 7...their skin is simply not developed enough to cope with the strength of EO's- even diluted. I know that many other brands firmly support the use of EO's on children, & even recommend giving EO's ...for ingestion...a dangerous step. Please always be mindful of the fact that EO's are highly concentrated plant extracts. One drop of peppermint EO equates to around 20 cups of peppermint tea, & an over-zealous parent with a child struggling with a stomach ache, might make the decision that 1 drop works...maybe 3 will be better! Would you give your child 60 cups of peppermint tea? Also remember that it is illegal to suggest ingesting EO's in Australia, unless under qualified medical guidance. I've heard many stories of severe burns to the oesophagus from ingestion of undiluted EO's. I hear people arguing that EO's are a natural product, & therefore can't be harmful. Natural DOESN'T MEAN SAFE! Again, EO's are highly concentrated extracts. Most full strength EO's will in fact burn the skin- lavender EO being one of the very few that generally won't. If you intend to apply EO's to your skin, always dilute them in a carrier oil, but please NEVER apply them to anyone under the age of 7. The problem with applying an EO to a child's skin is if they do react to an EO- even mildly- you are potentially setting them up for the inability to use EO's for the rest of their life. Each exposure thereafter might cause an increased negative response/skin reaction.

08.01.2022 That post-market day feeling!

08.01.2022 Time out from the market this Sunday. Taking some personal time. See you next week!

08.01.2022 'maxi' roll-on. Highly effective in assisting with pain relief/headaches & muscular tension. 10 mL roll-on/$20. The organic ingredients: peppermint, eucalyptus, cajeput, rosemary, lavender, roman chamomile, helichrysum, vetiver essential oils in a 50% suspension of camellia seed oil. The aroma in itself is uplifting, to help recharge your energy levels. Keep it in your bag!

08.01.2022 Tip: How to make those strawberries last. Soak in a 1:5 vinegar/water bath for 5 mins- dry on towel. Place in fridge in a colander. Works with any berry.

07.01.2022 A question sometimes asked...why do we add castor oil into all of our soap blends? Some people hesitate when they read our soap labels/ingredients, & see that organic castor oil is included...who knows why they're anxious. It's a fabulous oil, offering many benefits to the skin. Australian laws require that ingredients are listed in descending percentages- a small percentage is included. Organic castor oil is a very thick oil, & acts as a natural emulsifier for combining oil ...& water. It improves the lather qualities of other plant oils used in our soaps. Each plant oil generates varying levels of lather as a soap salt- olive oil creates a low slippery lather, coconut oil creates a thick dense lather. It's also rich in ricinoleic acid- renowned for its anti-inflammatory properties, & ability to sooth irritation.

06.01.2022 It was great to catch up with people yesterday. It can be 3 mths before we see EO customers again. Top sellers were: - soaps: cofi, honi & oli...the round cakes evenly placed - EO's: ozi & lemon eucalyptus. Thank you...always grateful for your support & feedback.

06.01.2022 We'll be at Northey St Organic Farmers Market in Windsor this Sunday, 6-11 AM. Looking forward to catching up with everyone!

04.01.2022 ORGANIC ESSENTIAL OILS...why? I was asked by a customer on Sunday to explain the benefits of 'organic essential oils', over those generally available in the stores. She had heard that two popular brand names were the best quality essential oils available. Oh dear...the power of marketing strikes again! Essential oils (EOs) are sourced from all over the world by merchants/suppliers, & are available in various quality levels- in descending order of quality & purity:...Continue reading

04.01.2022 Every home should have a bottle of our 'defenci' blend on hand, to assist with air purification when illness strikes. Our organic blend is keenly priced at $27/15mL. Compare that pricing to popular non-organic blends (doTERRA On Guard- $54, Young Living Thieves $76) & know that you're paying for multi-level marketing costs. Also be aware that doTERRA substitutes orange for lemon, purely to avoid law-suits from Young Living, who patented the name/formula...despite its history. Nothing like ethics at play?

03.01.2022 Feedback. One of our customers loves to see our market outcome...the winners from yesterday were: hands down, our organic 'honi' soap, followed by 'hemi'. A fairly even spread over our organic essential oil blends range, with 'relaxi' taking the lead followed by 'clariti'. Every time we diffuse 'relaxi' at the market, people are drawn over to buy it. Under current COVID distancing, the queue to our neighbouring coffee stall wraps around our stall, & opportunity knocks during the exposure time!
