23.01.2022 MAKE UP products contain oil in it, and oil buildup on lashes area will heavily affect the retention of the set. When clients come with heavy eyeliner, eyeshadow, and mascara - not that we allow mascara to be used with extensions anyway - We will have to do a full lash removal and apply a new set again . This is needed to ensure we are able to deep clean your lashes, which will not be possible if your dirty extensions are still attached to your natural lashes . If you had a fun night out and wore a heavy eye make up that night, just remember to change your next appointment to removal and new set so we are able to adjust the time needed for your appointment :)

23.01.2022 WHY is this policy so important? Allow me to explain to you from a lash technician point of view... . All lash techs stock different brand of lashes. This means, the specification of each lashes, even though they are called the same, can be very different in reality. . For example, one company can make D curl in 70 degree curl, where another company makes D curl in 60 degree curl. Another example; one brand makes 11mm lash length, but when compared with another brand, the...y would be called 12mm. . When a client walks into our shop, we are committed to provide the best service possible, and this includes making sure that your lashes are all even and neat when you walk out the door! We can't possibly do this if the lashes used were mixed with different curl and brand, because the result will be messy and uneven. . Therefore, if you are a first time customer at Mollylash and you still have lashes from previous lash lady, it is best to wait until the lashes all fall out and get a new set from us. Or alternatively you may book a removal service with us for an extra $20 (this price is per 15 minutes). . To ensure our clients receive this memo, this particular policy is mentioned on our website under Terms and Conditions, and to be agreed by clients before making an appointment online. 18.01.2022 $40 Penalty fee applies to No show / Cancellation / Rescheduling within 48 hours of appointment . Although there is nothing new with this particular policy - as we have implemented it for almost 3 years now - I have decided to post this on our wall to explain the reason of charging the penalty fee, and also how it works. . WHY - As you may already know, Mollylash rarely accepts walk in customer. All our bookings are made online via our website. This means, if cancellation... happens last minute, we are not able to replace the time slot in such a short time. The $40 penalty fee is only enough to cover labour cost for the lash technician who already came to work for your appointment. . HOW - While making a booking online on our website, clients will be prompted to accept our policy, and also to enter credit card details, which will be saved into a system called SQUARE. In the case of cancellation/no show, the $40 penalty fee will then be charged onto the saved credit card. Its worth mentioning that Square is compliant with PCI-DSS (Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard) where your card is safely stored and can not be used for other purpose than charging the penalty fee. . Please note that any balance owing of penalty fee will need to be paid first before clients may book another appointment with us. . We do understand that everyone encounters emergency situation from time to time. 16.01.2022 MEGA VOLUME SET . Full coverage and thickness is what Mega Volume has to offer! . I know this look is not for everyone, but I personally LOVE LOVE LOVE this kind of lashes on myself. If you have super healthy natural lashes, you will be able to pull this look off. However, if you have short stubby lashes like me, I would suggest to take a month break every 2-3x refill just to give your lashes time to regrow :)... . 14.01.2022 OUR REFILL PRICE varies depending on which set you choose, however one thing remains the same : IF you have less than 50% extensions left when you come in for refill appointment, we will charge a removal fee and full set price again. Clients are advised to book the correct appointment type so that we can allocate more time if you need removal done. . Please bare in mind even when you have 50% extensions left, not all of them are still in perfect condition. Normally, we sti...ll have to remove some of the extensions that are overgrown or twisted. Only after we have done outgrown extensions removal and deep cleanse, that we will be able to start the refill process. . It is highly suggested for our clients to come in for refill every 3 weeks as normally clients will still have about half the amount of the extensions left by this stage. . 11.01.2022 1st PLACE in JEWELRY LASH ART COMPETITION Organiser: Sponge Lash Art (Kauneus Konttori, Finland) Theme : "Never Enough Glitter" . This was another competition I entered during 2 months COVID lockdown. Since lash artists could not perform any beauty treatments, I have not hold my tweezers for months at this point, and I knew I needed to practice on my lashing technique, so I decided to give this competition a try.... . I really find this concept interesting because it is rare to find a competition where the lashes are not done on a live model. And It also excites me to try combining two branches of Art - Jewelry and lashes - together to make one fine masterpiece! . The organiser of this competition let us choose any piece of jewelry we want; it could be a necklace, earring, or tiaras. When I first saw this ring in the store though, I just knew I had to get it. I could straight away visualise the feathers and flowers, and the lash colours that I was going to use. . 4 days and a backpain later, I finally finished my Peacock Ring! I am so honored to hear that I have been awarded First Place from the judges. It seems like all that hardwork and backpain finally pay off :) . 10.01.2022 VOLUME 5-6D SET . Recently I start to use shorter length on clients. The maximum i would use is 13mm, and I would only use them on strong and healthy natural lashes. You might think the lashes are long in this photo, but thats only because the photo is heavily zoomed in. The longest length i used in the photo is 12mm with D curl . 10.01.2022 . Flower Wall . We ordered this flower wall from a company in Shanghai who has been supplying flower walls for New York Fashion Week every year. Each flowers are custom made with love and patience. They come in a 40x60 panel and it only took me one day to put it up on my wall... . Ahh finally this is my last post on this album. Are you guys bored of me yet? :) Thank you for taking your time to read all my posts from yesterday. I hope you love the new shop as much as I do, and I can not wait for you to see and experience it yourself! . 08.01.2022 . Grazing table . It took us a couple of weeks to plan this party. All the foods were bought, freshly delivered, and arranged beautifully on the grazing table on that same day. We bought from 12 different food vendors so our guests can enjoy a wide selection of Asian and Western food .... Special thanks to my partner Jun and Molly girls who helped me set up this grazing table on short notice. Since they are all artistic, arranging these mouthwatering food only comes naturally to them. It probably took them 10 minutes to set this up. Good job guys! See more

05.01.2022 . NEW SALON PROCEDURE . COVID19 has taught us a lot about the importance of implementing thorough hygiene practices in our daily lives. As human behaviour towards cleanliness changes to the better, so does our Salon Procedure .... This post summaries of what you will be expecting when you come to our salon next time. On top of what's mentioned in the post, we have also covered all our beauty beds with clear plastic cover so they are easier to be wiped and sanitised after each appointment, and clients will also be provided with face mask to be worn during appointment . To some of you, these might sound extreme. I understand, but please bare with me. This is the new normality that we need to get used to, especially with beauty treatments where clients are in such proximity with the therapist . In saying that, I would also remind everyone to please give us a text/call to reschedule your appointment if you are not feeling well. Let us all be vigilant and help stop the spread of the virus because WE CAN NOT AFFORD ANOTHER LOCKDOWN AND NOT GET OUR LASHES DONE! RIGHT? . 04.01.2022 LASH LIFT AND TINT . Lash lift (or lash perm) is a treatment where we curl up your natural lashes from the base to the tip so you can see the full length. It is done by altering the shape of the curl by using a perming solution and a curling rod. You may choose to add tint to make your lashes appear darker and longer. . The only downturn was that we had to wait for 4 months for it to arrive all the way from Europe. But when it finally arrived, the waiting was all worth it because it is exactly how I picture it would look like and it fits the whole theme and color scheme of Mollylash .
