20.01.2022 CREEK STREET ROAD UPGRADE STARTS THIS WEEK Anyone who is a regular driver on Creek Street in Ormeau would be well aware of a particularly bumpy section ...opposite Reedmans Road and Arthur Way. I'm very happy to be able to let the community know work will kick-off this week on Stage 1 of a resurfacing project on this well-used section of the road. I will also be working hard to ensure budget is set aside - and planning gets done - so the full length of Creek Street gets a much-needed resurface in the next few years. In the meantime, I will be working closely with officers to ensure the most badly damaged sections of the street are repaired as a priority as an interim solution. A full road closure of Creek Street for night works will be in place from this Wednesday (January 27, 7pm-6am) until February 10, so please allow extra time and drive carefully in and around this area.
