18.01.2022 Everest (named for his snowy nose) spent 20 minutes with me like this yesterday. Should have kept the kids baby carriers #ififitsisits #rescuecats

18.01.2022 Adding to my op shop book list Do you knkw of any cat lovers also in need of this book?

17.01.2022 I remind myself of this now and again when I feel I'm being pushed in a direction that doesn't feel right to me. I'd rather eat with less people happily than many people in unease.

16.01.2022 Ohhh this part makes me sad and happy at them same time. Mum with one kitten heading off for their forever home together. This means all the rehoming has been done with this gorgeous litter.... Mum arrived just as the second lockdown was announced carrying hidden extras. Three weeks into her stay (after being confirmed by a vet) her 5 beautiful kittens were born in my kitchen on a Friday night. It's been an honour to have these cats in our home. We have buckled though and have ended up keeping two of the kittens. The cat spam continues. #fostercats #adoptdontshop

09.01.2022 Cup of tea made, my 3 year old out with dad and my eldest two watching TV. Time to sit back and begin this by Hugh Van Cuylenburg. Has anyone else read The Resilience Project? What did you think?... If you haven't heard of it this is how it's described. "Hugh van Cuylenburg was a primary school teacher volunteering in northern India when he had a life-changing realisation: despite the underprivileged community the children were from, they were remarkably positive. By contrast, back in Australia Hugh knew that all too many people found it hard to be happy, or suffered from mental illnesses such as depression and anxiety. His own little sister had been ravaged by anorexia nervosa. How was it that young people he knew at home, who had food, shelter, friends and a loving family, struggled with their mental health, while these kids seemed so contented and resilient? He set about finding the answer and in time came to recognise the key traits and behaviours these children possessed were gratitude, empathy and mindfulness. In the ensuing years Hugh threw himself into studying and sharing this revelation with the world through The Resilience Project, with his playful and unorthodox presentations which both entertain and inform. Now, with the same blend of humour, poignancy and clear-eyed insight that The Resilience Project has become renowned for, Hugh explains how we can all get the tools we need to live a happier and more fulfilling life."

08.01.2022 It's been a while since I asked for updates on the Melbourne (and huge surrounds) op shop map which can be found here - https://ilovetoopshop.com.au/melbourne-op-shops/ Can you help me out with any that have closed, opened or relocated and I'll try to update over the next few days. You can scroll in and out of the map and then click on the icons for info via the weblinks, the pic attached is just a screenshot.... Thanks all, hope it's useful.
