06.01.2022 Inaugural Charity Lunch with Lady Mayoress Nina Schrinner. An inspiring and refreshing speech by the Lady Mayoress encouraging us all to play a part in strengthening Brisbane’s community of generosity. She shared a quote from a great Brisbanite Phillip Bacon after he was awarded the Australian Leading Philanthropist award in 2019. It’s not about giving back because it implies that something was first taken. You give because it is the right thing to do because that is really ...what life is about.... The Lady Mayoress went on to share if we need any more impetus research has shown that generous people live on average about 10% longer than their non-giving counterparts.
