20.01.2022 We have been exploring different artworks that we have noticed in our environment. We tried to mimic some of the patterns we found on our own rocks we gathered from the garden. We then extended this learning by looking at aboriginal symbols and what they represent.

17.01.2022 Water painting- The Juniors were provided with paintbrushes and a bucket of water to create their own artworks on the concrete. The children all used different methods when creating their artwork, some used the paintbrushes and other dipped their fingers into the water instead. The children used their imagination to create dinosaurs, monsters and trucks! This experience allows the children to become aware of fairness, as they needed to share the paintbrushes with their friend’s who hadn’t had a turn. It also encourages children to use their reflective thinking to consider why their paintings were fading away after they had created them.

16.01.2022 Fire drill practice Today we practiced an on-site evacuation. The children calmly moved through the yards to an evacuation point. These are important to practise so in a real situation we can be prepared and remain calm.
