24.01.2022 This week we have been expanding on the children's interest of cars, trucks and diggers. This morning Miss Janine put some new mini vehicles on the sensory table. The children were able to identify each of them, ambulance, helicopter, police car and helicopter. They began making the noises each one made and held the helicopter up in the air while making it fly. This was a great activity for the children interacting and playing together as a group and learning to share and... cooperate with each other. EYLF 2.1. Children develop a sense of belonging to groups and communities and an understanding of the reciprocal rights and responsibilities necessary for active community participation 2.3. Children become aware of fairness 4.1. 23.01.2022 This morning In the Nursery, the children expressed to their Educators their interest in dancing as they heard the Tiny Tots listening to dancing music. Extending on this interest, The Nursery Educators played "Baby Shark." As soon as the older babies heard the music, they ran over to their Educators clapping their hands and moving their bodies to the music. As the song concluded, they began saying "More, More." During this experience the children smiled and laughed together,... demonstrating their growing friendships. EYLF Outcome 4 Children are confident and involved learners. EYLF Outcome 5 Children interact verbally and non-verbally with others for a range of purposes.

23.01.2022 Today on Remembrance Day, we acknowledge, honour, and remember the members of the armed forces who have died in the line of duty.

22.01.2022 Toddlers have been busy working on their fine motors and sensory skills. For Naidoc week, we have started our craft with handprint paintings. This Morning, children did dot painting with wooden sticks on kangaroo template. Children used their imagination on colouring the kangaroo by using aboriginal flag colours( red, yellow and black). Children were shown the picture of aboriginal flag and they chose their own colours to colour the kangaroo. Children has shown their sense of belonging and took ownership of their task. After completion of their craft, they seemed excited and have been showing it around to their friends. EYLF- 1.1 children feel safe, secure and supported. 2.2 children respond to diversity with respect. 5.1 children interact verbally and non- verbally with others for a range of purposes.



21.01.2022 The Tiny Tot children had the opportunity to paint with water. This is a really cool experience for the children to explore, as it has been a little warmer this past week the water evaporated extremely quickly which left the Tiny tot children a little puzzled as to where their creations were going. There was a lot of shared laughter with each other. Painting allows our tiny tots to develop vital fine motor skills, fine muscle strength, coordination, language skills and imagin...ation. EYLF outcomes: 3.2 Children take increasing responsibility for their own health and physical wellbeing 4.1 Children develop dispositions for learning such as curiosity, cooperation, confidence, creativity, commitment, enthusiasm, persistence, imagination and reflexivity. 4.2 Children develop a range of skills and processes such as problem solving, inquiry, experimentation, hypothesising, researching and investigating.

21.01.2022 In the Junior kindy room the children are continuing to extend on their interest of different forms of motor vehicles. Miss Angela and Miss Poppy set up a learning experience with large sheets of paper rolled onto the floor, different colour paint and motor vechicles. The children used the vechicles and paint to have raced along the paper, make tracks and create their own roads. 1.4 children learn to interact in relation to others with care empathy and respect 4.3 children transfer and adapt what they have learnt from one context to another

20.01.2022 Toddlers have been busy exploring Naidoc week activities and we are celebrating Diwali in our room as well. Diwali is called the Festival of Lights and get celebrated during Hindu Lunisolar month. Children were explained about Festival of Lights and decoration. Children painted their own diya (earthen lamps) and decorate them with glitter. It is great way for children to teach them about different cultures and festivals. Children were excited to be part of the activity and created own paper lamps by using patty pans. EYLF-2.1 children respond to diversity with respect. 4 children are confident and involved learners. 5.3 children express ideas and make meaning using a range of media.



18.01.2022 This week we have been celebrating NAIDOC week in the Pre-Kindy Room, each day we have been doing various activities that celebrate this week, today we made our own rain sticks. The table was set up we black, yellow, red and blue paint along with bits of nature. The children were very curious about what was going on and came over to explore asking "what is all this for." Miss Janine explained what everything was for, the children were very excited and all stood around the ...table patiently waiting their turn, each taking a seat and asking for the colour the wanted to paint with. The children had a great time and were really engaged through this new exciting activity. EYLF 2.2. Children respond to diversity with respect 3.1. 16.01.2022 It’s World Vegan Month, and to celebrate we’ve found this deliciously hearty vegan Spaghetti Bolognese that your family will love! Packed full of vegies it’s sure to be a winner at the dinner table!

13.01.2022 Today the Tiny Tot Children got busy and made their own playdough. On the table we had all the ingredients for making playdough which were: Flour, Salt, Cream of Tartare, Vegetable oil and Water. We provided the Tiny tots with various sized bowls and some spoons. The children were able to experiment with the various ingredients to see how they can make their own playdough, this gave the children the opportunity to explore different textures from soft, hard, wet, dry, slimy, g...ooey etc. This was a very great activity for the children to also work alongside each other for the children to extend on their social and communication skills. 11.01.2022 Toddlers have shown their interest in learning colours. Children have been learning colours through various activities. We have been painting with different colours and children’s have shown their interest in mixing colours. So, this morning Ms. Tania bought primary colours red, yellow and Blue to the table with droppers and water mixed with food colour. Children followed Ms. Beck’s instructions and recognised the primary colours. Later children were asked to mixed the primar...y colours to create new colours out of them. Cleo and Cali-Rose were excited to see the new colour forming which were orange and green. Children screamed yay after watching the water changing colours and new formed colour. 11.01.2022 This morning the children were invited to engage in a drawing experience. Miss Hannah set out paper and pencils for the children to explore using their creativity. The children hurried around the table excitedly and confidently took a seat. They demonstrated confidence in the experience as they sorted through the different coloured pencils before picking up one to begin drawing. The children experimented with the pencils as they held one in each hand and began drawing with two at a time. They smiled together as they observed each other. During this experience the children demonstrated their manners and kindness as they passed the container of pencils back and forth, allowing each other to select a pencil.



10.01.2022 World Kindness Day Let’s celebrate the power of kindness and the impact a simple act of kindness can make in somebody’s day.

08.01.2022 Today in kindergarten for our teddy bear day we got creative and we made ourselves a sensory bear. We used soft lose parts we could find around the room. The children then glued them onto the bear however they’d like making their own unique bear. During afternoon tea once our bears had dried we then got them back out and had our afternoon tea with them. Learning outcomes: 2.1 building positive relationships 4.1 Building a positive dispositions towards learning

05.01.2022 This morning the Nursery Children were invited to engage in a sensory painting experience. As the children observed their Educators with the paint and other resources, they quickly made their way to the table to investigate. For this experience, the children had their piece of paper with drops of paint and a sensory spiked ball. The children instantly began rolling, bouncing and hitting the ball onto the paper. "Wow," Emilia exclaimed as she observed the paint transfer in small dots to the paper. The children were encouraged to explore their creativity during this experience. They demonstrated their knowledge and understanding of sharing as they passed the balls around the table saying "Ta," kindly to one another in exchange.

02.01.2022 This week we have been giving the children in Pre-Kindy the opportunity to paint with different objects. Today it was fly swats and big rollers. As the paper was rolled out onto the floor the children came running showing great curiosity and enthusiasm for what going to happen. This activity has given the children a chance to be creative, use their imaginations and experiment. EYLF 2.1.
