This annual event aims to raise awareness of the critical role which radiologists play in our healthcare systems and in efficient, successful patient care. This year #IDoR2020 is celebrating the important role of radiology in handling the COVID-19 pandemic. The date marks the day in 1882 when Dr Robert Koch announced that he had discovered the bacterium that causes TB, which opened the way towards diagnosing and curing this disease. World TB Day is designed to build public awareness that tuberculosis today remains an epidemic in much of the world, causing the deaths of nearly one-and-a-half million people each year.
