He says he enjoys helping people and is keen to eventually specialise in cardiothoracic surgery. Arcanjo is one of 12 trainees who took part in postgraduate diploma courses in 2016, a program supported by Australia and delivered by the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons in partnership with the Ministry of Health, National Hospital and University of Timor-Leste.

Leo Donnan FRACS was recently part of a team ...who treated a Papua New Guinean boy suffering from a rare bone disorder. Ten year- old Edward was born with spondyloepiphyseal dysplasia and suffers from "windswept knees"; one leg moves inward and the other outward. As part of his treatment, Edward who was flown to Australia from a remote town in Papua New Guinea, has had two surgeries in Melbourne. Associate Professor Donnan has been donating his time for about 15 years, from complex reconstructions for children who have severe deformities to surgeries like Edward's. http://ab.co/2iyzjnY
