15.01.2022 Lately we have been seeing a lot of clients come in with complaints of migraines and headaches A migraine is a paroxysmal (sudden attack) neurological disorder, with many signs and symptoms. There are two types of migraines: +Migraines without aura- Formerly called a common migraine, this condition affects 85% of people with migraines... +24-48hrs before hand the migraine client will experience mood changes, food cravings, altered sensory perception, excessive yawning and memory dysfunction. +Migraine with aura Formerly called a classic migraine this effects 15% of people with migraines +Associated with reduction in cerebral blood flow it develops over 5-20minutes lasting less than an hr and resolving with the headache . +Auras are usually visible often perceived as flashing lights, zig zag lines, or visual distortion. +Pins and needles around lips and hands +Auditory disturbances including hissing, rumbling noises, while olfactory hallucinations include strong smells such as burning rubber.
